One of the best brisket (lean) I have tried!!! It’s unique flavor. It’s an hour from me but I happen to be in the area for work but it’s so worth the drive!

BBQ brisket is tender. Love the sauce. Quick service and picnic style booths and outdoor selections are comfortable.

I have been going to Dozier's since 1985 and always found the hour drive to be more than worth it. Unfortunately though, my last couple of experiences have been very disappointing. Yesterday, the customer service by the 3 ladies serving the food was absolutely terrible. My wife and I had just come from a funeral and were dressed in Sunday clothes. The one particular lady who had a nose ring and tattoos was rude and stared at us the entire time we ate our food. The ribs were dry and the chopped beef sandwich was watery. The entire atmosphere was so much different than what we used to enjoy. I know old man Dozier would not be happy if he saw how his employees were behaving. I do hope the owners or management can address the customer service and drop in quality of the food because it really is a landmark place we have loved for so many years.

Brutal lunch special chopped beef - worst BBQ I ever had - the place is super expensive too. I won't be stopping there again.

I love this place. The food and the service are amazing everytime I come. I live right down the rd and come here often. I wanted to bring my parents in to show them my favorite bbq place. As usual everything was amazing….except one little issue. One of the ladies in the back was dropping F-bombs like we were in Hiroshima. Not just the f-word but cursing nonstop. I curse too, but I also believe there is a time and place for that kind of thing and at a work place in front of paying customers isn’t one of them. Myself and my parents had a hard time ignoring the loud obnoxious obscenities while we ate our pullled pork, sausage, and brisket. I was embarrassed and disappointed when I left.

My second time to eat here since they switched owners. I had the brisket sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. The bun was excellent and the brisket was thick and tender. The young boys on the service line, meat cutters, were very attentive and polite as well as the young lady cashier. it was good.I'm editing my review because I spoke with some folks who said they got a new pit boss, 2 weeks ago. I could easily tell the difference in the BBQ and he certainly made a good brisket. I'll be back 4 sure!

I tried Dozier's for the first time when we got our Thanksgiving smoked turkey breast this year. The place was nice and clean, and very efficient. There were diners, shoppers and people picking up Thanksgiving orders all at the same time when I was there. I was on and out in 5 minutes. The smoked Turkey was outstanding - moist and tender with a delicious smoked flavor. The vacuum-packed turkey was very easy to store and prepare. All of our guests raved about how good it was. I will definitely be back to dine in and bring something home from the market. I only gave four stars because I haven't tried the restaurant yet.

Very nice hometown place. The food is good. Their fresh bacon is the best! I enjoy the large baked potatoes! The employees are always friendly. The atmosphere is fun because it's a local company & nor a franchise.

Food was over priced not to mention service wasn't what I expected. I saw at least three employees on their cell including management not impressed

My wife and I first time here. Found them through an upcoming burger challenge post on Facebook. They are a competitor in it. Apparently, they only do burgers on Friday so we decided to split a three meat plate. We got moist and lean brisket with sausage and a side of coleslaw and green beans. We also got two iced teas. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The food was good. The sausage came with an unusual mustard that I had to ask about. It is made with tumeric, mustard, paprika and vinger...it tasted good. They also have a meat market...which was nice. I bought some venison sausage and a pepper salami...both look yummy. I am sure we will be back.BTW - the burger is only Fridays and the sell out fast...usually in a few hours.

The bbq was awesome, the barbecue sauce meh. This place had very nice people and the atmosphere was awesome I loved how this place was decorated and the music, I LOVED IT one thing was that the lady told me that once they run out of meat they are out like they did ent have any sausage and pulled pork and they did not have a burger witch I was really looking forward to. But over all this place was very good.

I’ve tried brisket all around Houston first time trying Dozier and I can hole heartily say it’s the best brisket I’ve had. Ordered a pick up order cause my wife was craving potato salad (which was also amazing) but wow thank you

Well, we gave it the old college try. Is it good? Yes. Is it worth an hour drive? Eh. Ribs and sausage were surprisingly tough. But that brisket and sauce make a dang good

This was my first time going there and I ordered a baked potato with chopped beef. All of the items were on the side which I didn’t really like including the bbq sauce. I like a lot of sauce and I didn’t like that it was on the side even though they were nice enough to give me extra. Aside from that, the atmosphere and customer service was great. The cashier was very nice and informative. I’ll be back but I will definitely try the ribs next time.Parking: The parking lot was spacious and did offer handicapped parking spaces.Kid-friendliness: Kids were present with their guardians when I came in to pick up my order.

Great BBQ here. Delicious bbq, sides and friendly staff, they even brought our dogs some chopped turkey and water while we sat on the patio. The dogs loved it and so did we!
