I am updating. The strawberry shortcake pancakes are THE BEST!!! A must try any time of the day!
The chicken salad sandwich is my go to - always delicious. Big enough to share for sure!

Always pleasant visiting this quaint diner in downtown Fulshear. They have a nice selection of breakfast/brunch and lunch items to choose from. Essence House Cafe also happens to have the best iced tea in town– I can’t put my finger on the flavor profile but it is delightful. Staff is always happy and pleasant, just make sure you go early or you might get stuck behind the daily train of cyclists who often frequent this location.

Food was not that good. The latte I got tasted like straight coffee. I like black coffee but not what I thought I ordered. Having to get the servers' attention to get a menu only to be told to go up front to order. Then my seat was taken by another group that just walked in. All in all, it's not a good first impression.
