This is the perfect hole in the wall restaurant. I've been eating here for nearly 30years. Family run. Best Guacamole anywhere. Best enchildas in Houston. The hot sauce means it! Perfect spice level. I put it on everything and endure my heart burn happily.

This place has been around forever! The first time I ate here was the mid 70s. They've been through a few different owners, but it's about the same as it ever was. I think they need to go up on their prices. I don't know how they're paying their bills with such cheap prices. I don't live in the area anymore so it was a drive to go over there.no regrets. Local people should support one of the few restaurants they have in town.

People who grew up in Galena Park always come back to this restaurant! The food is delicious and their salsa is very unique and tasty! We always have to ask for more to put on our food. I highly recommend El Potosino!

I drive 527 miles with 10yr old twins to Houston to see family BUT before I see family and again while I am there, I head for El Potosino for the Deluxe dinner w/onions! I have been eating therevfor over 40 years. I remember riding my bike there and eating the most delicious food. The family and now Olga are dedicated to their customers. It is a blessing to see people serving the Lord through their work. God Bless the establishment of this restaurant and the many people whobhave served there and serve today

Mrs. Olga is the new owner and she is amazing, the food taste good like when I was a kid. I am so glad they didn't close down!! If you don't leave with there hot sause your crazy, some of the best ever!
The scallops at this restaurant were perfectly seared. I loved the caramelized crust.

I wouldn't suggest eating at this idk what to call it, let me explain. I ordered 3 tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro onion side of lime. By the way I understand some Spanish, discrimination towards me was discussed but I wont go into detail. I had to tell the very rude girl I wanted chicken also, she didnt ask or care to ask. then she told me they have no cilantro or lime or cheese. I got my food in 5 mins and I checked it, not sure if the chicken wasn't safe everyone has a thermal temperature reader, the tortillas weren't cooked, i wouldn't feed to a stray dog. I Asked why ....she said its tex mex......where is the cheese if its tex mex ??? I asked for my money back. it clearly says mexican restaurant she rolled her eyes at me gave me my money back. they should be ashamed.
