This is one of those gems you come across only a few times. 9 of us stopped in for breakfast and were all very satisfied. From the friendly service to the well-portioned food, we lacked nothing. While the interior won't wow you everything else will make up for it.
Taking the long way home took me through Giddings and to this Amazing place. Hole in the way/ Greasy spoon, Mommas house all rolled into one. Thanks for the love in your food and service. Yes, I wiped my plate clean it's that good.

We love everything.....EXCEPT....now we cannot bring our McDonalds coffee. We originally ate at Mel's and switched to Elviras when we could not bring our McDonalds coffee there. So....we now eat here ONCE a week and get a mexican burrito elsewhere. Please go back to letting people choose. Thanks

We came here for a late breakfast. Very basic seating and in a no thrills building but clean. Service was quick and friendly. Food was priced very well, and portions are generous. I would say go give this place a try. We will be back sometime to try lunch.

A surprise in Giddings, TX. A block off of 290 at the RR track. We were looking for breakfast about 11:30 a.m. Another restaurant referred us to Elvira's because it served breakfast all day. The restaurant has a Mexican focus but routine American breakfast is available. The building is old and has some visible modifications but food and service were great. We plan to stop here on future trips through Giddings.

We stopped here on our roadtrip and it was so good!! We loved our breakfast tacos and the kids loved the pancakes and eggs. Great start to our trip🤩
