We stopped by Saturdy evening around 5:30 and Lost Pines still had plenty of BBQ. I had the 2 meat plate with the Briskett, Mac & Cheese and green beans. I really liked that I was given a choice between the lean briskett or marbled. Lots of flavor, good bbq sauce and plenty of seating. Not a restaurant in the traditional sense. It's a walk up counter, with food in a glass case. You order and carry food back to your table. Friendly service. I definately recommed.
Everything tasted like it was left overs and had been reheated. I eat leftovers all the time, at home. I don’t think they should be served in a restaurant. We had brisket, ribs and sausage for our meat selections. It was all tasteless. The coleslaw was soured. We could not eat it. The Mac-n-cheese was noodles in canned nacho cheese sauce and the beans was canned ranch style beans with sugar added. What a waste of $35.
We eat there at least once a week. Lived in Giddings three years now. There smoked chicken is fall off the bone delicious.To me the best and tastiest smoked Brisket around. Family owned (to the best of my knowledge), and extremely kund, friendly down home people. Enjoy the visit every time we go there.
