Ordered a 12 piece bone in chicken, no sides. It's 8:00 p.m. Saturday. There wasfood no food in the hold warm/display area. Uh oh! It was all being held in pans in stand-up warmers. Paid $30.00 for 12 pieces chicken and 6 rolls. Brought food home for hungry crew. The food was dry and shrunken from being held too long. Very disappointing! Chicken Express doesn't close until 9:00, so they served this poor quality product for another hour after I left.

Waited 15 /20 minutes and everyone was getting their food and I wasn’t. Asked if my food was almost ready and they gave my food to someone else. Said they had to make sides fresh and would take a while. Asked for a refund or if they could just put something together for us and they just issued a refund but didn’t try to make things right. Super disappointing.

You can’t go wrong with Chicken Express. I live in Granbury so I frequent the one in Granbury. However, when I’m in Glen Rose business, I do make it a point to stop in. The service at this location is just as good as the Granbury location. Sweet tea is a must have during the heat of the summer and I highly recommend the poppers. They are spicy and delicious.

I visited chicken express at 1611 NE Big Bend Trail in Glen Rose, Tx yesterday June 8, 2025 around 11:30am. The store was exceptionally clean and the staff was very efficient and friendly. I ordered a meal to go for my family. I did not wait but a few minutes, and I was told they double checked my order and everything was there. I got to my parents and the meal was piping hot and so delicious. The chicken was so fresh and juicy. They packaged everything carefully and we were all so pleased with everything. I highly recommend this location. Everyone spoke to me and they were all so nice. They worked well as a team. Very impressive.

The chicken here is solid but the price is borderline ridiculous... Since covid they have doubled the prices here or nearly doubled the prices on most all meals... Way too expensive for fast food chicken. But Tea is cheap so I can at least get drinks here...
