The friendly staff, along with a beautiful landscape, and an amazing gift shop, enhance the overall charm of the place. Visitors can see animals up close and even feed them, which is much better than a zoo with animals in small cages. The opportunity to interact with free-range goats, which enjoy being brushed, is a highlight. The sight of sheep, turtles, pigs, and even spiders remains memorable. A thrilling part of the visit is the wolf enclosure on the right side of the entrance. Many guests also recommend the guided tours, as they are conducted in a professional manner and the guides are very friendly. Hand-feeding giraffes and seeing animals like rhinos, cheetahs, and giraffes up close make the visit even more special. Guests enjoy the chance to see 95% deer and the giraffes eating right from their hands. Despite some disappointment over smaller zebra herds and missing teepee camping grounds, most visitors had a great time, spending about three hours on the self-guided tour and planning future trips. The gift shop has plenty of lovely items to choose from, and many guests have expressed their happiness about the concern for the animals at Fossil Rim.
