Snyder’s Tavern is a gem in Glen Rose, Texas. The food, drinks and hospitality of the staff is top notch. The drink/beer menu is one of a kind. If you are a beer drinker try “The Reverend “ or “Statement of Purpose “. My wife’s favorite drink is “Whipped Lemonade “. The food is delicious. Don’t be in a hurry when you go there. This isn’t a fast food place. Go to relax, enjoy the river slowly flowing through the huge rocks. Have a one of a kind beverage and a memorable meal.

We had Easter lunch there yesterday! It was great food as usual, we’ve eaten there many times & always enjoyed the unique food & the drinks are awesome!, The chicken & pig appetizer was delicious & the drunken chocolate cake is seriously addictive (service is superb & the whole place is spic & span ) oh try a whipped lemonade or maybe 2.i had seafood paella/ spinach& Benny had 1/2 pound burger topped with Mac & cheese/Snyder fries & we brought home enough to have a second lunch today! Delicious again!!!Parking: Lots of private parking steps from the tavern looking out on the river

We had made dinner arrangements with my family and I to eat at Snyders. It was within walking distance from the bed and breakfast we were staying at.. upon arrival, we had noticed a commotion in the restaurant. An older woman was shouting at the waitress in a awful way.. The poor girl was crying because she had made a mistake with an order. My parents, in their 70's and my two twin girls who are both 8 had to hear the most disgusting words coming from this older lady who later we found was the owner of this establishment . We will never entertain a place where the owner feels it's necessary to degrade their employees in front of guest the way she did with this young server.. Needless to say we walked out of there and will never return..

Hidden gem. Love the view of the Paluxy river, great service (friendly and quick) then the burger, oh the burger. Homemade taste to the thick patty with a slight hint of seasoning. The taste was amazing. The tots were crisp and hot. Definitely try the Tavern!
