Decent atmosphere, OK service, horrible food. Do not waste your money on the bbq. Dry, frozen chicken nuggets, for $100 for 4 of us two kids under 7.

This seemed like the place to come for real texas bbq but seems like the staff was uninterested to serve us even after coming in and asking for it. We ended up leaving after waiting for service that never came. Sadly only looked to be a few people there as well. Glad to see other people had better reviews about here but this is definitely not one.

We went here on a food tour and loved it!! Best fried okra I've ever had! We met AJ, the owner, what a nice guy. You can tell he really loves what he does. The vibe, the atmosphere, everything was great. We will be back for sure.

Fast, friendly service. Thought it was over priced for what you get. Food was good though. Small portions.

Edit 2: for someone who enjoys using terms like “coward” to describe writers of bad reviews the owner seems to have deleted his response. 🤔

Edit: the owner himself has replied and apparently the mental giant did not care to notice that I never stepped foot in his location or said issues would have also been addressed in person at the time. He also apparently cannot seem to grasp the concept of this being the modern town square and I am very clearly using my “voice” to denounce his product. If I ever find myself in that area I may pop my head in to say hello, but I’d hate to give such a lovely, levelheaded individual the foot traffic on Google maps.

A buddy of mine was in town for some work (we are next door in Arlington) and against all advice went here for lunch. I had suggested Weinbergers Deli (top notch), but of course that fell upon deaf ears. Nevertheless, I am not one to spurn free food even if it’s apparently cooked by an over the hill boomer prone to fits of online mania. As I opened the container, imagine my surprise when I was hit with a wave of nostalgia to the beef jerky chew from my childhood corner store, you know the kind that came in the little snuff cans. That’s about where the good ended. This “brisket” is enough to turn a Texan vegan. It’s dry enough to start a natural disaster on the west coast and about as flavorful as chewing on a stick. In fact that’s insulting the stick. I looked online and saw a beautiful smoker outside that apparently is not being used because if smoke even touched this it was from the candle being burned for sinners soul who concocted such a monstrosity of meat. Perhaps it could be used as a blasting media but beyond industrial purposes I see no reason for it to exist. Let alone for the price (gee, prices sure haven’t come down have they?). Oh and the sauce is like baby ray’s but if baby ray was in a terrible accident and had to relearn how to make his sauce and this was the first iteration.

In conclusion, worst dried meat product ever hustled as brisket and they should be shutdown for misrepresentation and publicly shamed for making a mockery of Texas barbecue.

Go Navy beat Air Force!

We went for a dinner with a few friends. The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the owner was fantastic! We ended up going back two more times during our one week stay! For real authentic BBQ, you have to go here!

What a cool place. Had the 4 meat combo that included brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, and catfish fillet. Had a few different kind of beers as well. The atmosphere was fun and the food was delicious. Had a chance to meet AJ and he’s working his ass off on the pit. Highly recommended. Will be back.

We couldn't leave Texas without eating some BBQ. We had brisket and pulled pork which were just right. The place is no frills, with quick service and Texas themed decor. Close to the Vintage railroad and the airport.

Great location, and the patio area is really nice. The bartender/host/waiter was great. He was easily doing the work of 3 people. Beer selection was good. The food was ok, but it wasn’t the best by far. The condiments on the tables were all old, so the fries had to be eaten without anything, and the brisket needed some extra flavor, but the sauce was clumpy.
