First trip to Texas and as a Canadian I had no idea what I could expect on my trip to the Great State of Texas. I couldn’t have picked a better place to kick back than AJs on Main. From the patrons to the staff who were amazing (Sarah) to the owner himself, they made you feel like you had never left home. Will definitely becoming back for some amazing BBQ, beers and spicy pickle shots! Thanks again!

If you like your brisket and pulled pork as dry as dog food kibble then this is the place for you. The texture is like chewing on short sections of string. Their sausage is one step above a ballpark frank. I gave them the plate back. They asked, I said it was too dry. I made the mistake of saying that it seemed like it had been prepared days before. The guy took umbrage at that, told me he chopped it that morning and turned his back on me. Fair enough, I’m sure he did prepare it that day - but that just means they like to serve it that way! Yikes! They charged me the full amount.

Delicious brisket! Come here for Texas BBQ. A real hole in the wall. Fun decor everywhere too!

Nice little fun place to enjoy a bite and a adult beverage with friends. Really nice and friendly staff. Really enjoyed it.

Drinks were good, pig skins good but the unfortunate part was the ribs. We had a party of 6, 2 of us had ribs, both cuts were dry and seemed to be the end of the rack, overcooked and crunchy. We were really looking forward to this place but probably wont return.

The food is very good, but the portions are too small. $21 for a fairly skimpy serving of two meats and coleslaw is waaay too much.

As soon as we walked in the waitress looked as if we were disturbing her day. Granted there was only 1 person there when we walked in. She either has resting B face 24-7 or she was a resting B!Food was horrible. Chicken nuggets are in shape of elephants and over cooked. The catfish was not eatable, tasted like oil soaked bad fish. Had a bake potato that was cut in to pieces ( who does that) tossed in a microwave with some cheese and a slab of sour cream on top. pulled pork was old and dry. BBQ sauce seemed to be one out of a bottle, not bad not good, think of smoky ketchup. Not worth your time or money. Unsure how they are open, poor service, poor food, high prices for the trash you get.UPDATE: Their reply sums it up on service. Thanks for making my point. You just could not help yourself could you!

The food was below expectations for the price. The bbq is priced similar to a Pecan Lodge, but without the flavor, quality, and freshness. I could have sworn I was being served Lloyds packaged bbq. The fried catfish had a very odd and soggy batter, and premixed cornmeal would have been better. The wings had great seasoning, but I could tell they were frozen as the bone was chilled among with bites near the bone. At $22, for a two meat platter and one side, I honestly felt like I was being ripped off as the main plate was a $10 meal at best because of inflation. The service was excellent, and I have no complaints there. The server was attentive, friendly, and checked on us to refill drinks as necessary. They have good beers, so that's a plus! The decor and mood was fine. There were dollar bills draped on the ceiling, so that was different. The Restaraunt was clean and neat. Overall, it seemed more like a place for friends to gather and have a drink. Nothing wrong with that, but the food was just not appetizing.

My dad and I split two sandwiches, the pulled pork and the brisket. They were fantastic. The sweet tea was amazing. I hope to come back here again when in town.
