This place is great at lake side , but the food is expensive and drinks are expensive price . And the quantity is very low for food . Please improve

We stopped in for the views, first and foremost. We ate here once before but back before it was a full on restaurant. The service was good. Our waitress was nice and took care of us.
The food runner could do a better job of not putting his finger on the food he delivers. Both plates and the appetizer were meet with his wonderful thumb all up in our food as he placed it on the table lol.

The food itself was super bland. The onion rings had no flavor. Don’t be afraid to throw some seasoning in that breading. Same with the burger and fries. The burger sauce was generous but again, no flavor.

This is a small annoyance but if I’m paying $16+ per plate at a restaurant, I feel like we should get actual Ketchup bottles at the table and not served packets.

Overall it’s not a bad place. The views of the lake. The sound of the water are great. Just left me wanting more from the food.

Great spot out on Lake Grapevine. Food was very good and plentiful. They have trivia nights, music bingo, live music, etc. A great place to watch the sunset.

this place is so relaxing. you can buy food for the fish, watch the boats, and there’s normally some live music event happening. their best food is deep fried but it’s mainly the ambiance we go for!

Big Daddy’s Cantina is such a vibe! The service was amazing the servers there all seemed to wear a bunch of different hats and still managed to crush it. You never saw anyone just standing around, they were always moving, smiling, and making sure everyone was taken care of, even in the heat.

The food was really good too, especially for being right on the lake definitely better than I expected. Bella was our server and she was awesome! Her energy and positive spirit made the whole experience even better.

My wife and I really want to like this place. Was our favorite place to hang out before new ownership took over. Met & liked the new owner last year. This year, servers are underwhelming with their hospitality, food portions are kid-sized and over priced. Wouldn’t mind the prices if the hospitality was better. Please train the staff to smile and mean it.

Suggestion: Have the queso in a crockpot and the salsa where it’s easy to grab for waitstaff to serve rather than having to wait 40 minutes for the appetizers and then when it arrives, our dinner shows up 5 minutes later.

BTW, the boat wranglers (rental boat crew) should teach the waitstaff what hospitality is. Every boat renter I saw walked away with a smile on their face.

Place is cool, staff are nice and love the views. Went here years ago and was excited to come back especially for the food but the place as far as food is different. Way less seafood options. And the food is basic and honestly sucks. Flies attacked me and my food while sitting outside. Ran inside just to finish my food and noticed that the kitchen was full of flies flying around too. Very sad, place is good for just a good drink, good views and to catch a performance now and that’s it.

We had such a great experience at Big Daddy’s Cantina! Maggie took amazing care of us—friendly, attentive, and so helpful with our big group. We loved being able to sit upstairs on the patio; it felt private and was the perfect spot the baseball team to enjoy a fun meal together. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere—we’ll definitely be back!
