NOT a good experience and we will not be back. We used to live near the BreadHaus and whilst travelling wewere excited to go back to get more of the fabulous breads we used to buy there. An extremely rude lady served us. We tried to engage with her as we shopped, after all my husband grew up in the same area of Germany she is from. But not even a smile and difficult to get answers about the products. She was very short with us and yet no one else was in shop until we were at the point of paying. Lunchtime and almost no bread left. So instead we purchased 4 different scones. They are ok but tasteless the only one we know for sure is the blueberry as it is blue streaked. I am eating one as I write this and I just hope the hair I found it is mine! The pretzel was a disappointment. We still have not tried the pecan pie. It looks good though. The date and nut bars were quite good although perhaps a tad dry. You would be better off going to the bakery dept at HEB

Generally their pecan pies are scrumptious; however, the pie I purchased Monday, 9/25, was disappointing at best. Hate that I brought it to a family gathering. It lacked an ingredient of some sort as it wasn’t sweet at all. Not characteristic of Bread Haus.

We discovered your delightful bakery during COVID's lock down when we decided that since the future was uncertain, we would eat cake everyday. On recovering our sanity, we remain dedicated lovers of the sourdough breads and every now and then splurge on the Cowboy Cookies. Danke

I have ordered and shopped from Breadhaus many times and their bread is delicious. I began ordering online and found the customer service to be excellent. Their sourdough is the best and my husband loves the pretzels. My favorite are the train rolls -so soft and pillowy but not too sweet. I highly recommend this bakery.

I’m actually glad that Butter is now being used more. *****PEOPLE: harmful seed oils are not good. They’re industrial and cause inflammation inside our bodies. Butter is a natural source and full of good quality fats.
To vegans: please purchase items that ARE vegan still because I do understand your dietary factors.

I am extremely disappointed that the new owner has chosen to change the recipes to include butter (under the false premise that it is healthy). This alteration was made based on unsubstantiated information created by social media influencers and not based on scientific and medical research. For those of us who do not eat animal products and have felt welcome at Breadhaus for years under the previous ownership, I no longer feel that I can support this business. It is also disheartening that their online ordering system still states that many products are vegan when they are not.

I’ve been coming here for years and absolutely loved this place! The previous owners made authentic baked goods that were delicious! When the new owner took over, prices immediately went up and recipes have started to change.
As a vegan, this place was so amazing because we could enjoy almost everything and it was healthier than other sweet treats. Now with the new owner, they use smattering of butters and other unhealthy ingredients making most of our favorites not only unhealthy, but also not vegan.
What is worse, they changed recipes but DID NOT update their website listings or even inside the bakery signs and it wasn’t until I went in to order that I found out they no longer offer most vegan options I have come to love. (Website still not updated as of posting so vegans don’t be fooled!)
Their move to advertise “healthier ingredients” but adding butter shows a disconnect. So sad after many years of authentic and delicious foods, new ownership lost the heart of what made this place great. Extremely disappointed Grapevine resident here and wont be back.

We love walking in the door here, the smell of fresh baked goods, friendly people greating you and eager to answer any questions you may have, not to mention so many choices. We have been here a few times and have never been disappointed! If you want the best choices get there early on Saturday morning as they are closed Sunday and Monday and sell out quite often. They have a great vegan selection as well.
