We have not been able to find a decent Italian restaurant in our area. Cafe Italia was suggested to us by a friend. A great find!! Food was superb and service was attentive without being over bearing. Being a Sunday after Valentines Day was packed, but we think this is the daily normal. Not doubt, we will be back again. So happy your there.

The staff is so friendly and helpful when ordering. We have never gotten anything that wasn’t DELICIOUS!! We are going again. We live in Lantana, so it’s I bit to drive but the reward is the delicious food!!💕💕

The food is absolutely amazing! We are Medallions Porto and wow! Great flavor. We also tried the Tiramasseau dessert and it was wonderful! The place is a cozy family style restaurant. Fairly quiet atmosphere. The wait staff are experienced and uber attentive. Very knowledgeable about the menu and not pushy! You wouldn't think the place was this good from the outside as it's a bit plain.

The Italian here is well done, with rich flavors and very fresh. Starting with the hot fresh bread that comes out with butter. I prefer oil to dip it in over butter, but its tasty. The house sauce has a lovely tomatoes and basil flavor. The lasagna is amazing! The veal is also well done, with tender cuts of meat and both the Piccata and marsala are delicious!
The service is very good, the brothers are attentive and kind. Its BYOB, so it's nice to be able to bring exactly what you like. Since we're craft beer people, we can bring a perfectly paired beer. We tend to get here on the earlier side so that there is no wait, its a busy and popular restaurant for a reason! You can't go wrong here!

Can’t believe I’m just now getting around to reviewing this place. My family and I have been going here for years. We come for every special occasion, every time we have friends or family in town we bring them here, and we come on random Tuesdays when we’re craving good Italian food. We always go to the location off Northwest Hwy. Never been to the other one.
1) They are BYOB, which is a real plus for saving money, and they never judge how many bottles we drink!
2) The service team is fantastic. They have treated us like family since our very first visit.
3) The atmosphere is that of a cozy, intimate, family-run Italian cafe.
4) Now, I say this as a born-and-raised Texan and not an Italian, but their food is awesome. Between me and all the friends and family I’ve brought here through the years, we’ve made our way through the whole menu and haven’t had a single bad thing. The worst we’ve found here I’d call just “good” (chicken Parmesan, fettuccine, the house salad) while the best we’ve found are really delicious show stoppers that keep us coming back hungry for more (the house dressing, chicken arrabiata and chicken Jerusalem, filet mignon opua and Madeira, any of their veal dishes, the mussels marinara and the seafood combo). My biggest issue with this place is always deciding what to get because everything is so good!
5) Save room for dessert y’all! The cappuccino pie and limoncello cakes are the show stoppers for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their cannoli is just “good”, but their tiramisu is great. I haven’t tried their coffee myself but have been told it’s pretty good as well.
Thank you, Cafe Italia, for all the delicious food, wonderful service, and precious memories over the years! I’ll be back for many, many more.

Best bread and butter in the world. All of the Italian dishes are ridiculously amazing. The red sauce is maybe the best I’ve had in a restaurant in my life. Every time we are near grapevine this is our splurge. You will not regret it. It gets super busy, so be prepared. It’s worth the wait.

What a wonderful restaurant! The interior is charming, but more importantly for me, the carpet and drapes have a noise deadening effect. Restaurants generally seemed to have lost sight of this. So often the customer is surrounded by flat, hard surfaces and with just a few occupied tables, the sound is deafening. Even with a packed house, this is not the case here, and I think it's great.
Our attentive waiter was Italian, so points for authenticity. He was friendly, and service was without any issue.
The fresh bread they brought us was an excellent first impression. It came with real butter, and the butter was already thawed to room temperature. I learned this service tip long ago. Trying to spread hard butter on soft bread is just not going to go well. Letting the butter quiescently soften means the staff is planning ahead for the guest experience. Someone is paying attention.
Overall, excited to have found this place. It made for a great date night.
Reservations are recommended for peak times.
Note:
There is another Cafe Italia in Grapevine. I tried poking around, but no one seems to acknowledge that there are two restaurants in close proximity with the same name. They appear to be independent from each other, but I cant tell. Some of the photos look very close, but maybe reviewers are also mixing up the locations. I have only been to this one of the two, so I don't have further insight.

Albert was fantastic and super knowledgeable. Chicken Alfredo, calamari, mozzarella sticks, and the desserts were the best we’ve had in a very long time. Everything was amazing and they have GF pasta!!! Yes, my husband is an Italian from New York City

A great spot for date night! Location is very cozy and the food is delicious. I had the chicken parm, portions were fantastic. Be prepared to wait 15 minutes - 1 hour, staff was very kind and feels very homey. Will be back!

We love to eat here. The food is fantastic and the service is superb! We shared Fettuccine Alfredo and our friends shared Tortellini in Vodka sauce. They split it up in the kitchen so that we each had a plate. The bread is sooooo good!!

Caio from Grapevine Texas!
Background, I'm Italian heritage and I don't like eating Italian food at restaurants.
Tried this place and the food was very very good. I'm thinking my mama would like it here. Besides good food another highlight is it's BYOB. That alone saves u BIG money.
Okay here we go... Service was good and food was good. Several traditional items on the menu plus they have daily specials. One of the few Italian restaurants that have veal (if that's your thing). Portions were a good size so you don't get super stuffed and have no room for dessert.
Let's talk dessert, black coffee was good and the cannoli was just so so. Filling needed to be a little thicker and richer, it was ok if u don't have any Italian blood in you. You gotta look at the pics. Yum.
P.S. yes I would differently be back, but next time I'll bring more wine .

Great food and atmosphere, we didn’t know it was BYOB and wished we had as they do not offer wine at all.
