I was not impressed by their take of texmex. The reviews seemed to be stellar and I thought I would check it out while in town. The rice was hard, beans and enchiladas tasteless. I ordered a famous margarita on the rocks and it was more of a lemonade. Salsa was great! Spicy! But that was it. The service was taking forever to top it all off. Wouldn't return.

Large tour group arrived for dinner. We were welcomed and quickly seated. Drinks were ordered and served. Dinner orders were individual checks, no problem.We had the tortilla soup and it was wonderful. Others had a variety of dishes that were generous portions. Not one complaint was heard.Our waiter was Daniel and he did a great job.If you live any where near Grapevine TX or visiting the area stop in for a great meal.

Perhaps the most bland ‘Mexican’ food I’ve ever had. I have to believe if it wasn’t for the great location, this restaurant would not still be in business. Maybe the usual chef was off on Sunday for lunch.Between brisket tacos, chicken/beef chimichanga, chicken chile relleno and the garden chile relleno, there was NO seasoning. Not just spice, onion or garlic, but no salt. It was a disappointing experience. I had asked the server midway through the meal (when he eventually checked on us) for hot sauce, to which he responded yes, proceeded to bus the table next to us, and apparently forgot the request all together.We won’t be returning, but I do sincerely hope it was an off day for the establishment and there are enjoyable meals to be had in the future for others.

So disappointed tonight. After walking around main street and coming across a cute lit patio we were excited to try. Has such great potential! There were soooo many tables shoved so closely together I could hear every conversation from every table all around me. So be prepared to not be able to talk to the people you come with.Juan our server, never once said hello, smiled, or anything. We asked for new chips (the chips they served were so stale they were chewy), he grabbed them up off the table as if we offended him and the 2nd ones were just as stale but we were scared to say anything. I asked for an extra side of something which I never received. The rice was cold and we got about 2 tablespoons of beans with our $20 fajita meal. He grabbed our plates before we were done and tried to pick up the check 1 minute after dropping it off. We were never offered dessert or anything. We watched as he went to every other table and asked how their food was except ours. Not sure why he wanted us gone so quickly. Disappointed and definitely think they could pay closer attention to the details of the food (like having warm rice and not stale chips) and definitely hire/train servers who want to be there and don’t make us feel so in-welcomed.Could do better Esparzas! You have the potential for it!

In searching for a good, not over-done Mexican restaurant that isn't a chain. My girlfriend and I landed on Esparza's, and we keep coming back! Quality of the food, of the service, etc has never faltered in our experiences across multiple servers.
