The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the horrible stench of old ashtrays and smoke. If it weren't so late we would have left. Yo can have good food and service and get a one based on armosphere. Flips is Fort Worth does not allow indoor smoking. The smell is vile! Obviously the ventilation system doesn't help nor does the open air box which allows the noxious fumes to fill the air. Won't be back here.

We go here often. It's a better alternative to the really loud place up the street. The drinks are decent, so is the food. We don't eat a ton. They're really good about splitting an entrée for us. They do allow smoking in the bar area, which bleeds over into the non-bar section. It doesn't bother us at all, but, heads up...

The whole restaurant reeks unbearably of cigarettes, regardless of if you're in the smoking room or not. Came to watch a game but unfortunately most of the TVs are in the smoking room. Ordered fajitas and they gave me nachos and there was a hair in the pretzel. Service was incredibly slow.

The best chicken tenders I’ve ever had! Huge portion, great price. Service is always good too

Restaurant still allows smoking indoors and the restaurant smells terrible because of it. They have a nonsmoking section, but you can’t escape the smell of cigarettes. If you are hoping to watch the football game, you are forced to sit with the smokers. Food was just okay. Our server was good and she was attentive, but that’s about the only redeemable thing about this restaurant.

Too smokey on the inside, a strong cigarette smell. Service was good. The patio area was very nice, a relaxing vibe.

Was in town. Stopped at this place to grab a few drinks sat on the patio. The mosquitoes are incredibly aggressive LOL and the bartender unfortunately couldn't really get my order correct but it was okay for what it was. I'd probably go again to give it another try and see if my opinion changes. Definitely not ruling it out

Always great food at Flips! Never have been disappointed there. Today's service was terrible (new gal wasn't attentive and they weren't terribly busy). Also, for some reason, the smell of cigarette smoke was very evident. This was a Flips in Grapevine, Tx.

Took a friend of mine out and we had a great time showing a D.C man a nice little spot in grapevine can be hard but Flips made the night and the food was great plus a little football and a sweet jersey girl waiter made the time fun will visit again.

I really enjoyed my burger here, the fries were very crispy and the burger was a very good portion size. Of note, this place is called a patio grill for a reason as smoking is allowed inside which instantly makes the dining room a no go for me. If you are in the area, I’d give this place try

With a 2 ½ year old and a 2-month-old, we are pretty focused these days on places with a wide but simple menu and not fancy when going out with our son and daughter-in-law. Sports bar type places early in the dinner hour fit the bill quite well. So, we tried another different one with Flips. Compared to some others, we all felt the burgers at Flips were better than many competitors. I had a special Brat Burger and it was superior – burger, brat, sauerkraut on a pretzel bun. Our server even suggested that this particular burger did not come with much vegetable garnish, so he asked if I wanted a plate of lettuce, tomato and pickle on the side, which I did. Nice touch. My wife and daughter-in-law each had the Bleu Queso burger and did not stop raving about it. And my son had the suicide jack burger and also had nothing but good things to say. We all liked their fries a lot. Our grandson had the kids chicken tenders, which were huge – adult size serving – so plenty left. We had started with a pretzel and queso that we all agreed was average at best. Good drink variety. Where this restaurant gets marks against it is the ambiance itself and the table selection. For our party, which amounts to space for six, they didn’t have anything that fit. All of the larger tables like that are high top, and that doesn’t work for a 2 ½ year old. We crowded into a booth designed for four people. It also just felt a tad dirty and dingy. Also the smaller sectioned off rooms, rather than one big room, gave it an even more cramped feel. So, while the food was good, I would not necessarily call this restaurant family friendly from a space perspective. All adults out for a few beers and burgers, great, but other than that, no.

Inside bar area was smoking, not a fan but was seated plenty far away that it was not a problem. Everything else was fantastic.
