We ate here years ago and did not enjoy the sushi, but have heard good thing about the restaurant since then. We wanted to give it a second chance and order pickup. The website would not let us order online. Calling to restaurant was worthless as well. It will tell you to order online then immediately goes to a full voice mail box. No option to talk to a staff member. The website only gives option to order between 2am - 2:30am. Too many red flag. Very disappointing.

Heard good things about this place so I decided to try it out. Came in for sushi and there was only 2 tables with people already here. I ordered rolls all spicy of salmon, tuna and yellowtail and miso soup. It took 25 minutes for the miso. After 40 minutes from ordering I heard the table that was sat before me complaining about not receiving their order. At this point 5 more tables were seated and they had started getting their food. 45 in and I ask about mine, it had not been out in. 1 hr in I got my food. The sushi is wonderful and that’s the only reason for the 2 stars. The service is horrible but the food is great. My suggestion is to call your order in and pick up.

I loved eating at Lava 10! All of the food was good, hot, and they checked on me many times! Quiet atmosphere at times, at others, a "low rumble" murmur type situation. Nothing too loud, but probably not a place for kids after a certain time period. They do have a bar, and they also have great GROUP Sushi deals -- the Sushi Boats are some of the more affordable ones in the area! Check them out if you haven't already! 10/10, for service, food quality, price, and atmosphere!

Closed. Website and Yelp show open. I tried to go there for a quick dinner during a Saturday night layover. It was completely closed. No lights. No cars. Fortunately It was close to the airport so I didn't waste too much time and was able to find another option, not sushi but...

Food is good and prices are fair but the service on a Tuesday night was below expectation.

The food is fantastic, but the service has always been extraordinarily slow. This was the case before covid as well, so this isn't something new.

Had an early lunch here on a Satuday afternoon and it was wonderful. I recommend Lava 10 if you are looking for fresh quality sushi and sashimi. I had rolls and the Lava 10 Specialty roll was out of this world. Had a variety of sashimi across the length of the roll which prevented me from having to order a roll and sashimi separately.

Service sucks and they don't answer the phones. Food is delicious but if you have a question- forget about it. They will just forward you the online menu. I had a question for my daughter but they said hello then just hung up on me then only to text me an online menu every time I called back

Didn't complain, sesame chicken overcooked. Atmosphere was nice, helpful wait staff. I'd go back, order different entree.

The food was great! I got the lava stack (it had salmon), and I LOVED it!! It was so tasty and full of flavor! I will order that again when I am back. We also got a few other roles like the Philadelphia and Lava 10 roll. I thought both rolls were tasty as well. I do feel like we were rushed to order by the server so that is why it is a four vs five star. But overall, great sushi place.

Very nice room. Good food and nice friendly people. Will return. I only had salad and vegetarian rolls, but both were very good. Also...the place is clean..which is important to me .

A neat place not too far from DFW, for those going to meet friends on a long layover or a last stop to meet before drop off (and through TSA). Aside from the regular sushi bar fare, Lava 10 offers a number of other awesome choices, if raw fish is not your gig. But back to the sushi...flipping outstanding. Enjoyed every bite and will keep this place in my memory for the next time I'm coming though DFW.

Last summer we ordered takeout several times and always had such a great experience. However, our last experience was nowhere near the quality we've had in the past. We're a half vegan/half omnivore household and what we love here is the selection of veggie rolls and the mango black sticky rice. In fact, this was the first place I ever had black sticky rice and it used to be delicious: great chewy rice texture, generous sauce and mango ratio with crushed peanuts on top. This past visit the dessert was disgusting. We literally threw it out. The rice tasted mushy and old. The sauce and mango was a very small ratio compared to when we've had it in the past. No garnish to be found. Now, for nearly $9 I expect much more. Additionally, the rolls seemed much different than the last time we ordered them. The sizing was off (very large thick pieces that were difficult to eat), and ingredients missing. For example the california roll we ordered didn't have any cucumber, so it was quite soft and didn't taste right. Overall, it just wasn't a very good experience especially after spending $50+ on dinner. Now, I prefer to give businesses a chance to correct issues. Had we been eating inside, I'd have reached out to a server or manager, but since we ordered to go, we weren't really aware of the issues until we were halfway home. So later that evening I sent an email to the listed contact on their website. I described the issues here. I understand businesses are busy, but since no one has reached out I wanted to share my experience here. Either recipes, cooks, or managers have changed since the last time we visited and I would not recommend it. Especially not for takeout or for the price. It's sad though, because this used to be one of our favorite spots to stop after we visited Lake Grapevine.
