We are here for the AAHKS conference. My husband, daughter, and I decided to have breakfast here. From the moment we sat down to the moment we got our food, it took an hour. Our neighbors arrived 20 minutes after us, and their food was served to them. The sad part was that our food arrived cold. I had to request it to be warmed up which lead to packing to go because our daughter was not feeling well. The women delivered the food gave me a odd look as if I did something wrong. The crazy part was, we were the only black folks, sitting right in the front so you cant tell me really forgot about us. You need to do better and acknowledge when something out of the norms happens. Otherwise the food was good.

Tasty mexican food inside the Gaylord. Loved the atmosphere sitting by their created riverwalk. We had two littles with us and the servers were generous enough to seat us in a semi enclosed area they had closed down for breakfast. Excellent service!
Highly recommend the queso and guac for apps (made fresh). I had the barbacoa tacos and they were great. The chicken enchiladas got a two thumbs up review from the table too. Kids quesadilla is big enough to share for two smaller kids.

Tortilla soup is terrible. Chicken is puréed into a tomato base. Just warning our conference peeps. Chicken enchilada is amazing. A bit too much for me, but , definitely good for a man.

The food is far from Tex-Mex it’s really horrible the only thing that was slightly good were the flautas and that’s only because of the cabbage and sauce they put on top because very little meat, beef enchiladas were disgusting they had a cinnamon flavor in the sauce it was very distasteful. They would definitely do better with just serving food from tv dinners and saying they cooked it because even tv dinners have a better flavor. The atmosphere was fun and nice the game was showing everywhere but that’s the only thing that was good about the place, we never got refills on our drinks and were only approached by a different waiter when we were ready for the ticket. We left a tip of course out because I mean maybe it was an off day but they weren’t slammed with customers just giving our waiter the benefit of the doubt. Will not come back! Was hoping to actually try the buffet my thoughts are it might’ve been a better experience!

My husband and I ate here last night and loved it. Starting with the chips and salsa, everything was delicious and well presented. My husband said it was the best salsa he has eaten. We also had queso, tostadas, flautas, and chicken enchiladas. All were delicious. The chef came out and spoke to everyone and passed out rubber ducks. We had a good time. I also had the coconut margarita and it was delicious. We will eat here again if we are ever at the resort again.

Nice atmosphere and good food! We visited during our stay for a company event. initially seated saying a table of 12, however more people kept joining us. This was no issue for Lamar, who provided excellent service, especially for a large group. Thank you Lamar!

Firstly, the torta de milanesa was BOMB with the candied jalapeños. Secondly, the people and service were even better than my meal! So kind, friendly, warm, and authentic. Delia was an EXCELLENT server. Chef Gio even came out to say hello. What a pleasant experience.

I had an unforgettable dining experience at the River Walk Cantina! Our chef, Gio, prepared the most flavorful and perfectly cooked fajitas we've ever had. The sizzling platter of steak, chicken, and fresh veggies was simply divine. And to top it off, the margaritas were on point, refreshing and full of flavor. Our server, Perla, provided top-notch service—she was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Thanks to Gio and Perla, this will definitely be a place we return to again and again!

Perla was SO incredibly sweet and kind and took the time out of her day to chat with us and tell us about her life The food was delightful (fajitas) the chicken and beef were tender and amazing and the guacamole and and elotes were so fresh and flavorful and then when were were about to leave the chef came out to ask how everything was and if we had any feedback, positive or negative and gave us a dessert for free Genuinely one of the nicest dining experiences I’ve had in a long time

This is a great spot if you have kids. The breakfast buffet is extensive and has lots of fresh fruit. We ended up having 3 meals here and the service was excellent every time. Excellent like best service I’ve ever had at a non-Michelin restaurant. They are so nice to kids. The food was good and better than we expected.
