THE WORST BBQ I HAVE EVER EATEN
This place needs to remove the āTexas Bestā and just leave the BBQ up. Thereās nothing Texas or Best about the bbq here. In fact, they need to close the bbq side down.
If you have never been here before, this is a large gas station/food court. They sell a lot of different things from clothes to hats, art work, souvenirs and thereās a few different options of food to choose from. Fried chicken, pizza and bbq.
They have a pizza oven and a smoker there as well, neither of which I believe they use to cook the food (thatās just my option). Thereās no way you can convince me they are using a smoker to cook their brisket and it turns out the way it looks. Absolutely pathetic. Check out the picture on the outside of the building and look at what I received. Itās almost criminal. This place is a scam in my option.
I wasted $12 plus dollars on the brisket I ordered and I didnāt, excuse me; couldnāt choke down any part of the fatty meat they served me. This just proves that here in America anyone can make a living. What a shame this place is.
Here are the positives. Iām all about being fair. The atmosphere was clean and regarding service, I was greeted about three different times. I wondered why at 11:30am on a Thursday no one was in line or seated eating. I know why nowā¦
The restrooms were clean and the store overall was very clean. The people are very kind as well.
I am upset I wasted my lunch money I guess. I wasnāt going to leave a review but, the quality of food was just that bad. Itās worth warning people not to waste their money (on the bbq). To be fair, I canāt judge them on any of the other food they are serving because I didnāt try it. However, I wish I would have ordered a slice of pizza nowā¦
If you are thinking about the bbq, please donāt waste your time because they for sure donāt waste their time cooking or smoking the meat properly. Itās just an after thought for them in my opinion. What a joke. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE SMOKER ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING.

I love this restaurant/gas station. They have a wide variety of items, food, lots of wines, in-house BBQ, and more. I only gave the (produce) food two stars because it was always excellent.., until the cantaloupe gave me food poisoning. It may have been a fluke but, sadly, I canāt recommend the fruit for this reason. I have not had any such issues with the actual restaurant side of the business, only the packaged fruit.

The pull pork was very old taste like at least 3 days old, we try the gyro too thw meat was old and flavor less, food is not fresh in this place, food is nasty and over price, we told this issue to the owner, he just told us go see mike, mike told us he is the owner, this people take advantage because is located near the convention center most of is we don't have car so we do uber to a near place to eat so we stuck, but the owner dont care, so dont waste your money time and effort here, go somewhere else where at least they care about your business

Place has terrible service. Every sandwich I've gotten from their pre made section is either half cooked or so unflavored you're half tempted to test for covid in the hope that surely no one could be selling such flavorless garbage.
On top of it, when purchasing tobacco in bulk they don't honor the bulk discount labeled on the packages. Talk about a greedy bunch of unfriendly people. This close to the airport with such unfriendly staff no wonder people get the wrong impression.

The owner was really friendly and walked around the tables asking people how everything was. The first slice of pizza was very cold but I bought it up front. Then we went to the restaurant and they were good and hot. Nice sorveniors. We bought a few name plates and wall plates either interesting messages. They were also promoting can fresh fruit juice. I loved the melon. They deserve the 5 stars.

Usually the food and service is good. This day we went out to order some ribs and the jalapeno cheese sausage. There were some language issues to make the person understand what I needed. They had then figured out, but the overall taste was not the usual , the ribs were not the fall of the bone and the sausage was not having the normal flavor ..surely a 'may try again' place.
