I don’t know what the hype is about. The brisket was tender, but mostly fat and zero flavor. The birria tacos had zero flavor. The Mac and cheese bowl was ok, but way overpriced. Spent about $100, and I wouldn’t spend half that much after eating there. We were really disappointed that we drove past Hutchins to try this place.

First time I’ve ever been here and these guys are nice, chatting it up with you, having a great time. I spent less money than I expected. I got way more food than I expected and on top of that, The food is great. If I’m ever working nearby, I’m coming here for lunch, because for the same price I can get fast food, I can get this.

Texas BBQ with the perfect blend of Mexican flavor. The brisket and Carnitas are the best you'll find in the Dallas Metroplex.

I write this as a loyal fan of treys in hope of that he can the help he needs. I have been 5 times in the last year and was a frequent visitor of his food truck at hop and sting.

Brisket and sausage - I feel like either these are lower quality cuts of meat compared to what Trey put out in grapevine. It could be mi cocina cutting costs or it could be the pitmasters not being able to handle the quantity needed at scale. The reason I don’t believe quantity is an issue is because Trey had a line around hop and sting every night he was open. Allen is dead so I would almost argue they are cooking less food now

Sides have gone down hill. Employees seem to hardly care and aren’t as in tune or caring as when it was him and 2 guys in a trailer

Overall- the food has gone up significantly in price since the truck. Which I get because so has everything else(especially in bbq) Paying for a big space that’s not needed and employees who don’t care. I love Trey. He’s an amazing dude who is very knowledgeable and willing to teach. I pray that he gets the support he needs and thought he was getting with this move. I pray that the quality of meat increases and he finds employees with a passion for the craft. Unfortunately I feel like he’s become a minority owner with everything on the line in terms of his name. The food is good. Trey and the boys made great food in their trailer every damn night. Maybe ownership needs to listen to him, cut down on the hours and staff. I want to see him succeed. I have been to 8 of the top 10 Texas monthly spots from 2020 and Trey beat everyone so he’s not the problem. Scale and profits are

No doubt the best barbq in Dallas! The sliced brisket is absolute perfection! The sauce should be bottled and sold by the gallon! The service from Tre and his crew is top notch! We found this place after an Instagram recommendation. They can be hit or miss. This place is a hit!! You won't regret the trip to Allen to visit. It is a must visit!

Beautiful atmosphere but awful customer service from the young boy, he’s very rude and not efficient with bringing out the full order.

My son always empties the plate, especially quesadillas. Every restaurant offers a kid’s quesadilla, but this one was so burnt and hard my son would not eat it. When I tried it, the crunch was difficult to chew as if it has been out all day, perhaps days.

Will not be returning.

The birria tacos are really the star of the show here. The brisket isn't bad. But it came to us cold. As did anything not a taco. We drove quite a ways to try the food out because of a Youtube video. I really have to quit watching those. The ribs weren't bad. Sausage was ok. Didn't get to try the house sausage since they were out. It happens. The staff was nice and the atmosphere is really cool.

If you’re serious about Texas BBQ, Vaqueros Texas BBQ is the real deal!! From the moment you smell the smoke, you know you’re in for something special. The brisket is insanely tender, yum! with a perfect bark, the ribs are packed with flavor, and every bite tastes like it came straight off a pit run by someone who truly respects the craft.

This isn’t trendy BBQ — it’s honest, well-done Texas barbecue made with passion and pride. Portions are generous, flavors are on point, and the quality is consistent every single time. You can tell they care about what they’re putting out, and it shows.

If you’re anywhere near Allen and love BBQ, this place is a must-try. Vaqueros Texas BBQ has officially earned a permanent spot on my favorites list.

I will be back with my stretchy pants!

Have been wanting to go for a while, and finally got the chance. It was suspect that on a Saturday there was no one there, but we were excited to order! Got a few tacos, brisket, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. Waited about 20 minutes for the food, it was all cold. Brisket was so dry, Mac and cheese was so cold the cheese they put on top did not even melt. Tacos were terrible, we could not even finish them. So cold and gross. The positive- the BBQ sauce was amazing, so it made the dipping of cold almost inedible food easier to get down.

This place is a gem hidden in plain sight! We loved it. The chopped brisket is the best that I’ve had in DFW. They chop the meat fresh after it is ordered. The sauce was just the right amount of sweet and spiciness. For the price, I don’t think you are going to find better Barbecue. The Gorgonzola slaw was unique and really good. The service was friendly. It was perfect. My kids got the hamburger, and it was also an outstanding burger. If you are just looking for a good burger, this is a great choice. I don’t understand why this place isn’t packed. The live music was fun too!

I met the owner on my way in and he suggested several items so I grabbed some ribs and tacos. The carnitas were great but the ribs were possibly the best I've ever had.
