They advertise that their portions are more generous than other places. Not so. I wish that I'd taken a pic. I asked that my meat not be chopped into tiny bits. Nope, tiny bits. Green beans swimming in water and half a small portion cup of coleslaw. I was fooled by the name.
We were greeted the second we walked in by a very friendly staff. We had never been to a Soulmans before and the manager Kenneth did a great job explaining all the options. We went for a 3 meat combo and 4 sides. Everything was delicious! We will make sure to add extra time onto our trips each year so that we can eat here! Thank you Kenneth and team for your great service and even better food! Oh and we loved the little ice cream cone at the end!!!
I tried the fish fry. Breading was perfectly seasoned! I got the fried cabbage, the flavor was excellent. I also got a side of mashed potatoes with the gravy-also seasoned to perfection! We split the banana pudding and fought over the last bite LOL! If only I could take this location back to Illinois with me! Until we meet again, keep up the great service and wonderful cookin'!
