The deep fried spicy cajun turkey was superb. Followed instructions and turkey came out perfect. Would definitely try again.

I took one star off for two reasons, but otherwise this was a good bird for the holiday (especially if you can’t decide between ham and turkey).The first reason i marked it down is that nothing prepared me for what I was getting. Fully cooked this turkey remains pale pink. I’ve seen this before with some smoked meats or certain seasonings. If my thermometer hadn’t reassured me, I would have thought it was undercooked. The seasonings have a unique flavor, & and the consensus we arrived at was that it tasted like spicy ham. That was okay because our primary side was cheesy potatoes.Second, the instructions are off. At 350 this bird would have to cook for nearly 3 hours to reach proper core temperature. I thawed it in the fridge for 6 days. 1hr in the preheated oven and the core temperature was 20 degrees. I turned the oven way up & cooked it for over an hour more trying to salvage the meal. Some of the intended sides served as appetizers instead.Had I been more informed, I could have planned better. I’m writing this to save someone else the frustration.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! This turkey was NOT fried or fully cooked. I followed the directions and put the turkey in for an hour. When I opened the foil, the skin was light and slimy and the inside still bright pink! Looks like a uncooked baked turkey with some season thrown on it. So disappointed!

Ordered a deep fried turkey. Followed instructions re: storing and thawing (thawed a little longer, just to be safe). Turkey was pale, not the color you’d expect from a deep fried bird. Cook time is currently past two hours (instructions say 45-60 minutes), and internal temp is only 140. I suspect they never fried the turkey before shipping, and they just shipped me a raw turkey. What a complete waste of $99. Never again.

Order a Spicy fried turkey for Thanksgiving, they Goldbelly and well this was the worst tasting Turkey.The bird was not at all what it looked like the picture it was blonde with no color and extremely slimy. It looked like it was roasted in the oven but not fried. No crisp skin and no type of We followed the instructions and after heating thru we took a taste and it had a strong chemical after taste. The more pieces we tried the stronger that flavor came thru.For the cost of this bird it was a complete disaster.I would of been better off getting a turkey and doing it my self. Buyer beware this is not worth a penny
