Stopped here while on the road. Food was great, along with excellent service. The portions were average, not Texas sized. I would definitely come back again.

Absolutely the best breakfast anywhere I have ever eaten. The 50 year old well seasoned grill makes a big difference in the flavor of everything. The bacon was crisp and tasty, the sausage patties were like smash burgers and absolutely delicious! The eggs were perfection, hashbrowns crispy and well browned, pancakes had a fluffy texture and tasted so good. I'm very impressed with this small town cafe.

A small town gem! Stopped by on a Sunday and the locals were here for lunch after church. A simple country cafe with great food.
Shrimp po-boy had-hand breaded shrimp on a hoagie roll. Try the hand-breaded chicken fried steak sandwich with a slice of Swiss cheese and jalapeños for a hearty sandwich. Next time we’ll try the pork chop sandwich. Breakfast fare and pies too!

Food is home cooked and made to oder. People are friendly as can be, and not just the staff ither. You can go in there and have great conversation with anyone. This is one of those places that you keep close to your heart. You want to tell everyone about , but at the same time , you don't because you don't want it to change. If your ever around there way , stop in and get you so good food and injoy the atmosphere. You will definitely not be disappointed. And remember, there's a back to the menu with banana pudding.

True small-town Texas diner. Located in the small town of Groesbeck, TX, a fantastic place to grab a quick bite to eat. I went with friends who have a ranch in the area, so everyone knew who they were. The sheriff eats there frequently, and is a place for the locals to talk news and farming topics.
Parking: Street parking. Spots are a little small length-wise, but they're slanted and the street is a small little one in a small town, so not too much to worry about there.
Kid-friendliness: Good for older kids or kids who can behave and be respectful to others and not yeall or scream (so probably not real young kids). Just from what I gathered there, probably not a great place to bring younger kids unless they grew up there and are known and interact with the community.
