The best bread and Brötchen this side of the Atlantic. And I can always stock up on german products and chocolate

The staff were nice and helpful. The bakery is nice and the store has a lot of variety of German products. I bought some fresh Pfeffernusse and was a bit disappointed as they didn't taste much like the Pfeffernusse I baked that came from an online recipe I found. Those tasted much more like the ones my mother made when I was young. I guess the baker who made them for the bakery and my mother, who was born and reared in Berlin, must have gotten their recipes from different sources.

Inflation (or tariffs?) must have hit the goodies coming from Germany.

I absolutely love this place & drop in from Austin at every chance over the last 5 years!!! Grew up half of my life in Germany and miss the food so much!!! This place is a slice of German heaven in the whole state of Texas!!! Thank you Pfeifer's for the years of joy you have brought myself, the many people in this community and all the people who come to visit this gem of a bakery!
Staff is fabulous, food is fabulous, products and merch are fabulous, authentic, and it's clean!!!! We are lucky to have this bakery!!!

wunderbare Brote und Gebäck! Too bad there's no outdoor seating to sit and enjoy. A couple of cafe tables and chairs out front would be nice. The ladies who waited on me were great.
