Looks like I will continue going to Leon valley location for my kolaches. These are all bread a smidgen/thought of cheese AND a skimpy bag of do-nut holes. Or maybe they just dropped the ball today 8/24/25

Unfortunately, my experience at Shipley Donuts today was extremely disappointing. When I walked in, the store was empty, yet I wasn’t greeted at all. The woman behind the counter, an older lady with a frog tattoo on her left arm, didn’t acknowledge me with a “hello” or even a “thank you” after my purchase.
To make things worse, it was pouring outside, and they didn’t offer a plastic bag to protect my order. No napkins were provided either. As a result, by the time I got to my car, the bags were soaked. When I got home, the moisture had melted the powdered sugar on my donuts, ruining the texture and flavor.
The overall lack of basic courtesy and care for the customer was unacceptable. I’ve had subpar service here before, but today truly hit a new low.
The food is so good. These are probably my favorite doughnuts to get because they taste so good, and you can pair it with a colache( I don't know if I spelled that right). This place is quick to gey you your food and the people are amazing. This place has been a nice part of my life from my elementary to HS days this place always holds true and the food does too.
Every time I have tried to get the guy at the drive-through window to warm up my cinnamon roll in the microwave, he has given me annoyed looks. Today, he flat out refused because there was ONE car behind me in line. It was a lame excuse. He just didn't want to do it. I've been coming here just about every week for quite a while, and have received great service, but with this dude, no more. I'm done with the annoyed looks and refusal of basic requests.
For better service and MUCH better kolaches, go to the donut shop by the Walmart on New Guilbeau and Tezel. They'll ask YOU if you want anything heated up, no begging or putting up with annoyed looks required.
Order was placed through the website and we received a call asking to substitute some items they did not have available, which was fine with us. The delivery driver, Jose, kept texting asking for our suite/apartment number, which does not apply, so we just reposted our address. Minutes later Jose sent a zoomed in picture of the Shipley's logo on our bag as a delivery confirmation. Delivery never happened. Calling the store directly as well as the number that called us about substitution was no help, there was no answer. The driver would also not respond.
Love this place! Friendly staff and great donuts !!
Will NEVER return! I was greeted by some Karen employe telling me no dogs allowed. No hello or good morning. Most pet unfriendly business put a sign up rather than harassing them to the point of embarrassment when they walk through the door. Next time I’ll go to Dunkin’ up the street.
The kolaches are good, but too much bread not enough sausage….
Great donuts that stay seemingly fresh for a few days after purchase even. Not greasy or overly sugary
