Sorry all. As an old guy I was raised at a time when "donut" meant covered in suger glaze. Good suger rushes are hard to find and Shipleys fits the bill!PS: They do have powdered and plain, which my wife loves.Parking: 4 or 5 spaces in front, double that conveniently close, plus a drive through windowKid-friendliness: Kids enjoy watching the staff making the donuts. Bring them early so they canWheelchair accessibility: While not directly in front, wheelchairs should have little problems accessing the interior.
We ordered a dozen doughnuts, two kolaches, and four bags of doughnuts holes. The young man gave us the dozen doughnuts, and four bags. We looked in the bags and noticed we only got two bags of doughnut holes. I told the young man and he looked at me like I was insane. He then said no I gave you everything. The bags were still in the front seat and he accused of trying to hide the two extra bags of doughnut holes. My two boys and I looked at each other said he thinks we are trying to scam him. All he had to do was ask to see the bags, but instead he wanted to keep saying he gave us everything. I handed the bags to him and said you can look he took the bags and went to the back and came back with an extra bag of doughnut holes and was still adamant he gave us everything. We still didn’t get our fourth bag. At the end of the day, I’m sure he gets some people who would do anything to get something for free, but don’t immediately accuse a customer sitting at the drive thru window right after you handed us the incomplete order. What’s even worse I order there two to three times a week at the drive thru and have never had an issue.

came here on a Saturday morning around 7am, staff had a poor attitude, asked for a order of sausage and cheese, with a eye roll, staff replied ‘we don’t have that, just jalapeños with cheese, that’s it’ It was obvious that i was bothering staff that I was asking for a order, just left, what a shame…. not about the order, the interaction

I go here every Friday morning to get Do-Nuts for my team. The do-nuts are always warm and fresh and the staff is super friendly.

I always order glazed, but my favorite is the chocolate cream filled. I ordered one of those and got a bavarian. I noticed the mistake and told the lady at the window the donut I wanted. She stated they didn't have that donut, and never did. I know they had it, I've been going to Shipley's since the 1970's. Is the Helotes location no longer offering my favorite donut?

Helotes location donuts $14.49 per dozen, Leon Valley location $9.00 per dozen. They were not fresh, and my mom(with dementia) said these are stale and wouldn’t even finish it.

Why is the crew here always so unfriendly? I've been coming to this location on and off for the last few years. Any other donut shop the staff greets you when you arrive. This location, they are always so sour-faced. Arrived today at about 7am. 3 girls behind the counter, no one inside and 1 car in the drive-thru. No one could be bothered to say boo to me till I'd been standing at the counter for a good ten seconds. How hard is it to say "hello" or "good morning" or "we'll be right with you"? On my way there, I was questioning if my favorite maple filled bar was worth it, knowing the service would be poor. Turned out I was right, and it's *not* worth it. I'm done. I'll go somewhere I feel welcomed instead. Hell, they are friendlier at QT and dealing with a hell of a lot more customers.
