Had the Luau Burger and the Bluebonnet Burger. Both were amazing. Banana pudding was just like grandma used to make "the real thing" Sat out in the garden, no one else around. Very nice. Tables could have been a little cleaner. We will eat here again. Off the cafe are rooms filled with antiques and cute items for purchase.

Lovely lunch in the cafe, then outside to check out the new plants, both seasonal color and veggies. Had already perused the collectibles.

Three stars as we did not eat here so unable to give a true rating. Three is in the middle, so hoping this is seen as neutral. Our group of four walked in for lunch and observed that none of the staff were not wearing masks and social distancing guidelines were not being followed. This is not a judgement, only an observation.

The plus side of the COVID lock-down is finding new places close-by, and indeed, I found a winner here in Hempstead. This little cafe is right along Hwy 159, but it's door is on 13th Street, I believe. Parking is available in the rear and, also, on the street. This is a one-story building with the nursery out front in a cottage-type setting. Inside, there are rooms with antiques, knick-knacks, framed pictures, seeds, etc. Good place to find a gift for those hard-to-find people. The dining area is configured for social distancing, and the tables are hard surfaces -- easy to clean. The menu is basically a lunch menu with sandwiches, burgers, soup and salad. I had a patty melt, and it was huge. Couldn't eat it all. The drink menu is limited to ice tea, canned soft drinks. The table service was excellent. There is, also, outdoor patio seating under the shade of large trees. The outdoor patio is very inviting, with beautiful plantings, flagstone. The prices are, also, very reasonable, average $10 for a large sandwich, which comes with chips. Love this place and will come back when I have more time to explore the antiques and browse the nursery selections.

This place is a must stop! You know it's good when your kids repeatedly say, "Hmmm, this is sooo good!" We had two orders of the smoked turkey and the chicken melt. I got the side of mushroom soup...and this alone should put their restaurant on the map. It had fresh and large chunks of mushroom in a creamy soup. My husband had a beautiful and full side salad, and my kids split a sandwich with chips. The server and chef were both very friendly, and the gardens as well as gift shop were fun to explore while waiting on the meal. Great prices, food, and service!

This place is amazing both inside & out. The flower & herb garden is a wonderful place to look around, shop, & even sit & socialize. The scenery alone is gorgeous, the staff are very helpful if you're looking for something in particular & they don't have it they will see what they can do about finding it. The cafe is awesome, you can dine inside or enjoy some of their beautiful scenery outside on the back patio garden area. The staff is very friendly. I have only had their burgers, banana pudding, & peach cobbler so far (due to the pandemic menu is limited right now) and OMG all I can say is wow!!!!! These three things that I have had are AMAZING. I am extremely excited to try more of their food items as they become available. I highly highly recommend giving this place a try.
