My husband and I drove into Henderson on our weekend camping trip to Martin Creek Lake; we were delighted to find Holy Smokes on our night out! The restaurant is small but perfectly situated downtown. The owner greeted us and described some of the items on the menu. The brisket was tender and delicious BEFORE the sauce (which was just the right mix of sweet and spicy). We loved the sausage (pepper and cheese), as well. Edit- Went in today 11/29 beans were tough not done and brisket was tough not good 😢 FINALLY great Brisket and Ribs in Henderson TX. The brisket was juicy and had delicious bark barbecue sauce totally on point delicious!!!!
Absolutely delicious barbecue get me the atmospher is definitely down home along with a really cool owner that will gladly conversate with you like a neighbor you want to talk to lol
