Once upon a time, in a little town where folks appreciated a good meal and a fair price, there stood a humble diner named Kizer’s. It wasn’t fancy, but it had heart—and a grill that never quit. The star of the show? The legendary 1/2 pound burger.

This wasn’t just any burger. No, sir. This was a thick, juicy, hand-patted chunk of beef, seasoned just right and sizzled to perfection on a hot griddle that had seen more stories than a barbershop bench. Served on a toasted bun with crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, onion, pickles, and whatever fixin’s your heart desired, it was the kind of burger that made grown men weep (mostly from joy, sometimes from the jalapeños).

Folks came from all around to get a bite. Truckers, teachers, teenagers with pockets full of change, and retirees who remembered when gas was a buck a gallon—they all made their pilgrimage to Kizer’s.

And at the center of it all was Old Man Kizer himself, flipping burgers with a grin, always ready with a “How ya doin’, hon?” and a side of fries that could cure a bad mood in under three bites.

The legend of the 1/2 pound burger lives on. Because at Kizer’s, they don’t just serve food—they serve happiness, one glorious burger at a time.

First time visiting restaurant, definitely will return time and time again. The hamburger and chicken fried steak were a hit, you wont go wrong with either of these choices. The serving sizes are great too, they don't skimp on the portions. Wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. Kuddos to all!!

We eat here fairly often. I’ve never had anything there that wasn’t very good. Burgers and chicken fried steak are outstanding. Service is always good too. Kaylee is usually our server and is very kind and attentive.

The best CFS I've ever had, potatoes were made from scratch had little bits of potatoes in them, yum yum and green beans were not just plain green beans! Very impressed and loved our waitress was so sweet and great as well. I believe name was Kalie or something like that.... lol lol ?
Just go give them a try you won't regret that CFS and Taters for sure!

Went here for breakfast for the first time in an effort to support a local business. Sadly, it was very disappointing. Staff was attentive and friendly, but my chicken fried steak was poor quality and reeked of old fryer grease. The smell was still in both of our shirts when we got home. Gravy almost seemed like instant gravy.
My over easy egg was rushed and way undercooked. It was served with uncooked egg whites accompanying the mostly uncooked yolk. Had them hold the potatoes and toast and asked for a biscuit and a little extra gravy, and they charged me $1.75 for a very small container of extra gravy--no credit for the potatoes they saved. Wife had them hold the bacon/sausage with her extremely marginal waffle, and she substituted the meat for an egg. They charged $1.75 extra for her egg as well, with no credit for the much more expensive meat cost they avoided. Wife's waffle was marginal at best. $3.00 for a cup of coffee. Just not smart business, in my opinion. At the very least, they need to have the waitresses explain the substitution/upcharge policy in advance, so the customer can make an informed decision. No paper towels to dry your hands, and no toilet paper holder in the men's restroom. The little things matter. Won't be back, but I hope they read the reviews and get better. I'm rooting for them, because their waitresses were so nice.
