Day one of the Christmas ad 97 cent spiral hams. Mgr did not receive any and will not get any in time for the holidays. I ask to be contacted by a district mgr, 2 weeks later still waiting

This afternoon we went in per usual. The cooler sections with the meat had plastic tarps over them, but no signage as to why. So I ask the man standing near them why they were covered and if we could get food. His response was that the store was running on half power and that was there to keep them cool. I went about my business to get meat out and he came back and very rudely said “the tarps were there for a reason and to stop get stuff out”. At that point another customer told him his attitude and demeanor was rude and uncalled for to which he kept repeating to put stuff back. Signage and a polite explanation would save them so much trouble in an event like this rather than chastising customers. It’s disappointing to experience this type of customer service in a local store. Kroger would do better to place signage in these types of situations rather than have employee berate their customer base.

This afternoon, I went to Kroger to purchase a money order. I went to the service desk and saw a sign that said “Service desk closed.” I found a Kroger employee who was watching people self-check. I asked her why the service desk was closed. She said the girl that works it was on break. I asked if anyone else could go there and she replied no. This afternoon, I went to Kroger to purchase a money order. I went to the service desk and saw a sign that said “Service desk closed.” I found a Kroger employee who was watching people self-check. I asked how long she would be on break and she said probably 15 minutes. But she might have to work a checkout line when she came back. I asked to speak to a manager. She paged Kevin. After 10 minutes, Kevin shows up. (I had come this far, I couldn’t leave without talking to Kevin.) I asked why the service desk was closed. He said he had no one to staff it. I told him I needed to purchase a money order and he told me to go to Walmart!!! REALLY??? I told him that I was told the girl working the service desk was on break. He said she was back but working as a checker, pointing to this girl that’s just standing there. He says she is swamped. He then tells me there is nothing he can do. I told him I didn’t believe he could do nothing. Asked him to open the service desk himself. He said he didn’t know how. I asked him to go work the checkout lane and send the girl over to open the service desk. He said he didn’t have the codes assigned to him to do that. I asked him what he does? Rather than answer, he again tells me I need to go to Walmart. Well, I did! And they were great. Thinking it is my last trip to Kroger. Kevin, I’m betting you wont last long as a manager. Usually a manager knows how to do something. You can’t even staff the business as required. Turns out, you are a great marketing “tool” for WalMart.

Only two, very slow checkers this morning and no baggers. Folks lined up down the aisles waiting to check out. Extremely annoying! And Kroger’s has now decided to charge if you get cash back at checkout. Certainly not customer focused any longer. It’s either shop at Walmart or shop out of town. What a shame.

Customer service is terrible now. at 8:30 at night, no checkers were available. You have to use self checkout which is a pain when you have more than a few items. This use to be my go to store but not since the remodel. They quit carrying lots of stuff that I buy too. Very disappointed.

Very unhappy with the customer service in the Deli. I showed up to pick up an order that's been placed for a week, I was a little early just to see if MAYBE they were ready early, and the lady rolled her eyes and walked off. Repeat customers are not a product of rudeness. Walmart saved me last minute and they were able to get my order taken care of within 15 minutes! Coming from someone who personally works in customer service, I try to be understanding, but given the circumstances I cancelled my order. This was not the first instance of rudeness from deli employees this week. From what i understand, they are short staffed, and that is frustrating I know, but still no excuse for doing your job poorly.
