Really good fried catfish but here lately it's been closed, closed early or SOMETHING!As a business, let your customers know what's going on via voice-mail. For 2 days now I've called repeatedly to nothing to inform me, & I'm sure others, of what's going on. I will continue to visit here but I hate getting my dinner plans together & they go south because SAM'S isn't open. I have to say I prefer SAM'S over HUSHPUPPIES so please let us know what's going on.

Meh....only o.k. Not really Southern Food. No corn on the cob. No tomato relish. Very tiny portion of red beans & rice, enough for literally 3 bites & tasted instant. Fairly disappointing. Not owned & operated by a Southerner either, so there is no true concept or talent for Southern style food, although the owners did seem kind of nice. Whoever said this establishment gives alot of food is very incorrect!!! Don't listen to that. Only some of the food quality was good, such as the shrimp.Probably won't return any time soon if at all.

They're portions are big and they fry food well. All of their sides are solid too.If you like giagantic fried oysters then this is the place for you.
First time we have gone in a while. Wasn't impressed. Just as we paid for our order they said they were closing around 7:30. It was a Friday night. There signature tarter sauce wasn't what we used to get and tasted terrible. Don't think we will go back anytime soon

Fish and shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly, fish and shrimp were also the largest I have ever seen. Great customer service as well.

I didn't think much of the place at first, as it looks just like a standard fast food joint. But I ordered the shrimp po' boy and it was delicious. I couldn't believe how great it was. The seasoning they used for the perfectly fried shrimp adds a great flavor to the sandwich. The fries are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, exactly how I like them to be. Henderson isn't that close to my house, but it is worth the visit and I will definitely return. The prices are good and the food is better. I very much recommend Sam's. I read some of the reviews complaining about the service. This was not my experience, but I have only visited once and was very happy with everything.
