Excellent establishment in the heart of Hico Texas. Very friendly & welcoming staff. Pizza had a great Smokey flavor with nice leopard spotting, marina sauce was savory not too sweet. Cheese sticks could have done without the Parmesan on them but otherwise all was superb. P.S. for all the RANCH heads, this stuff was the real deal.
The pizza was great, and we love Hico. We were expecting something different for the atmosphere, which is bright with a combination of table and bench seating. Visiting Hico is always fun and we will be back.

Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and a great location. Too bad the food is not very good. Tried the place when they first opened and after they were open for a while with same results. Pizza was burnt on bottom and sauce was not good at all. My table got a variety of things including a parmasen sandwich. Bread was soggy and meat was very salty. Cheese sticks were only thing actually edible and they were not very good either. Ashamed because the place had potential.

Omg...this place is amazing. Their Caesar salad is awesome. The roasted garlic and mushroom pizza and the all Meat pizza are sooo good. I will go back over there to eat again.
The food here is really good. Our problem came from the 45 minute wait on our pizza. They walked by our table after my husband's sandwich was eaten and realized we hadn't even gotten our pizza yet. It seems like maybe they were short handed. However, letting customers know there would be such a long wait would have been better customer service.

I was really looking forward to trying this place after hearing great things from a friend, especially about the pizza. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t what I had hoped for, and I feel it’s important for the owner to know what’s happening.
When we walked in, the staff member at the register (I learned after his name was Jaydy) didn’t seem welcoming at all. From the moment we opened the door, we were met with eye rolls and an abrupt attitude when we asked questions about the menu and drink options. It was discouraging and left us feeling unwelcome, which was disappointing given the positive things we’d heard.
I feel terrible for the owner because it’s clear a lot of effort and investment has gone into creating this nice place. Experiences like this could easily affect how customers perceive it, especially if this is happening on a Sunday afternoon when the owner might not be around.
I hope this feedback reaches the right person because I can see the potential here, and I’d love to return someday for the great experience I was expecting.

Had the Italian sandwich and it was superb. The bread was soft and sort of a pizza dough and it totally works. It’s definitely above and beyond what we have in the city. All the ingredients are fresh and cut up daily. Spoke to John Daniel and he said they don’t even have a freezer. That’s how fresh it is and you can taste the difference. The pizza looks awesome.
Vegetarian options: Gardner pizza and strawberry salad garlic bread. Bruschetta’s. They aren’t gluten free though

I enjoyed the more modern vibe for Hico Texas. I got a buffalo ranch pizza and it was really good. I enjoyed the fire roasted crust and their cheese was so rich and tasty. Will definitely be coming back. Their mozzarella sticks were the best I have ever tasted. Pricey but definitely worth it
