We were passing through town and stopped in for Saturday lunch when there was plenty of street parking. Taylor took fantastic care of us. She was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the offerings. It was a nice place and we were dressed a little grungy as we were headed home from camping but that didn’t stop the entire team from being hospitable and welcoming. Gorgeous historic building made it feel special. Thanks Chop House!

Great food and service. Hico, TX is a nice little town with charm and an abundance of specialty shops and restaurants. The Chop House itself is worth the drive time of 1 hour and 30 minutes from Fort Worth. I recommend the cantaloupe martini...!
My wife and I had dinner at The Chop House and both had steaks. She had the fillet and I had the ribeye. Both were really really good. In fact, my ribeye was cooked to perfection and so good. It made me just want to go ahead and just eat the plate. It was so good! Lol. We also stayed in the Midland hotel overnight. The throwback decor and the atmosphere was 2nd to none and more than we expected. We will be back!

Real food, prepared & seasoned perfectly. The Turkey neck is a must try. I have never cared for collard greens before. I ate ALL of them!
If you have never had beef Tartar, this is the place to try it.
My husband & I both had the Chicken Fried tenderloin. Amazing flavors! The gravy has a bacon flavor that is just enough & not overpowering. The fry on it was perfect & the meat was extremely tender. The steak was served on top of creamy mashed potatoes & the salty, buttery green beans complimented it perfectly. Our son had the burger & said it was the best he's had. I tried his fries & fries & pickles. You can tell that everything is prepared by hand without being told. We had the chocolate torte & passion fruit creme Brule for dessert. We couldn't decide which one we liked more. The staff was so kind. Eric, Clayton & Jenn made our experience incredible. We will definitely be back soon.
