Ordered barbecue probably three days before Christmas of last year via mobile order, went to pick up AFTER the order was accepted to find a completely empty and closed store, I checked back for weeks and weeks, called the numbers on the building and online, sent emails to the customer support email and to this day have still not received a single response or refund for food I never received.

I don't eat BBQ but maybe twice a year and I was really impressed with the customer service I received at this establishment. I was greeted and asked what I wanted and I told the gentleman I wasn't quite sure. He immediately began to elaborate on the menu and along with some of his favorites, some of which he was quite happy to report he had made himself that day. I commented on how cheerful and knowledgeable he was and he apparently has been in the business over 17 years. That was enough for me to order what he thought would be the best thing for me to try. And he did not disappoint. My meal was great but the service was even better. So, thank you Tomas for your dedicated service with a passion you don't see everyday.

Today was my first time eating at Dickey's in Hillsboro. The service is Superb! Tomas and Quincy could not have been more service oriented, thank you guys! You're both great! And all the food was THE BEST EVER! If you haven't already been there, you're missing out. I know my family and I will be going back again. Also, the atmosphere is very family friendly. It was all wonderful, I can't say enough good about all of it! What a Great experience!!!

Stopped for lunch on they way back home from Thanksgiving. They were out of most things with one guy working which isn't surprising with the holiday considered. The guy behind the counter didn't wear gloves or wash his hands before handling food. Recommend reading the inspection report posted here before ordering.

Made a quick stop for a bite and while others in the car went to McDonald's, I ventured across the parking lot and chose to try Dickey's Barbecue Pit. The gentleman behind counter running the show introduced himself as Thomas and could tell I was a Lil overwhelmed by the multiple choices of the menu. He kindly inquired if I had ever been there or if I was traveling. After my response of traveling, he generously offered to help me with explaining some of the more preferred travel sandwiches, and then recommended his favorite. Now, this is the kind of service that invites you in and makes you feel like you belong. His pleasant demeanor not only directed me to the right choice for me, but made me want to by the meat by the pound so I could share this little taste of joy I experienced by choosing a local restaurant over the standard fast food establishment cookie cutter food. I ordered the brisket with cheese sandwich with onions and peppers. (He even cut the sandwich to make it more manageable while traveling) It is in the details of the person who serves you that seems to make the food taste that much better. The BBQ sauce was delicious !!!❤️??. I have a sensitive stomach and spicy does not always agree with me, so the gamble on visiting this establishment could have made a 17 hour drive even longer, but it was a perfectly seasoned balance of tingling spice to the tip of the tongue that mellows to a mouth watering sweetness. He was kind enough to put the sauce in a large enough container for easy access dipping while driving. As for the other three in the car, they were definitely glad I bought enough to share the love and embraced the flavor of the brisket, and sauce with the same impressed surprise I had. Thank you Thomas for making this quick on /off highway stop, one of the most satisfactory stops of this trip. Dickey's BBQ sauce is definitely a one-of-a-kind and should not be missed by travelers! ❤️????

We had a good meal for dinner here on a Friday night. Thomas was very friendly and we visited with him for a little bit. Great personality. Although they were running low on some things and out of a couple, we were all able to enjoy what we wanted and it was good.

Their delivery app service is not adequate. I placed an order at 8:10 and they waited until 8:58 to call and tell me that they didn't have anything. They close at 9. I worked in the restaurant business for 10 years of my life and the fact that they waited until the last minute tells me that they just wanted to close early. This location in Hillsboro TX is not recommended. I recommend you look up the location for up on smoke.

We came in to eat lunch at 12:30. Ordered the daily special with jalapeño beans. The beans on the line had been left over from the night before. All crusty and dried out. Changed to mashes potatoes and at least they were warm. Meat was room temp at best and roll was so hard you could barely bite through it.We also ordered a chicken sandwich and it was slimmey and the guy on the cutting board said he would not eat it that it had been setting out before he came in this morning.Everything looked as if it was left over from last night. This was the most disgusting restaurant I have been in. Health department needs to close it down.Meat cutter put on his vinyl gloves by biting the end with his teeth and pulling it on with his mouth.Do yourself a favor and dont go there.
