Ordered the Bubbalo Chicken Sandwich. Upon first looks I was disappointed because the Sandwich came as a plain fried chicken sandwich with the Buffalo sauce (Frank's Red Hot) on the side and not dipped in the sauce already. I love Frank's Red Hot so I slathered up the fried chicken brest and added the side of ranch as well. This is the perfect example of why not to judge a book by its cover. The 1st bite and I was in love. The chicken is so moist and tender, the exact right amount of breading and the bun is a good solid bun holding up to the sauce. This is my new favorite Buffalo chicken sandwich. Sorry Popeyes.

We were traveling through Hillsboro, TX and wanted a bite to eat at a non fast-food place, and found this place right off of I-35, and we were glad we did! The parking lot was full which reassured us we made a good choice, and the positive reviews reinforced that. Upon entering the facility, we were promptly greeted, and brought to our table in the cozy dining room. Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink order. We chose to order the meatloaf entree along with the chicken finger dinner. Our drinks and meals arrived promptly, and the meals were hot and fresh. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area and craving a good home-cooked meal.

It had been a very long time since I'd eaten at a Lone Star cafe. Sadly, while the service was amazing, the food was not. The only thing we ate and didn't toss was the fried okra and the broccoli rice casserole. I had the chicken fried steak strips but they were over breaded and the meat was very tough. My son had the highway plate and my husband had the chicken fried steak. All 3 meats were too tough and chewy to eat. I was so very sad.
Needs work. She did a great job considering her first day with very minimal training if any. Cooks have very little ambition to put out good food and the atmosphere follows suit

We were traveling through town and spent the night. Decided to try this place since it had good reviews. Unfortunately we were not impressed. My wife had the meatloaf which turned out to be very dry and tasteless. I had an open faced sandwich which was the special of the day. It was mostly bun which I did not eat. The topping and especially the chicken was kinda scarce. The service was good and we got seated right away. Would probably not go back, if we lived in the area

Usually don’t have issues here but tonight was ridiculous. 2 hours and still waiting. Straight up LIED to by server about to-go order. People were having to go to the hostess and pay because servers didn’t come back. Have seen others leaving to-go orders instead of waiting.
All this and not even a single apology. Know it’s bad when my kid says “we are never coming back here!”
