We just had the most awesome lunch at Quackers in Hillsboro! The burgers and fries were the best we have had in a long time. Our waitress was so nice and helpful and the cook was very friendly. The portions were so big we had to take our pie to go! We will definitely be coming back and will bring our friends!

This's unbelievable investment is so profitable and real with ( Mrs Kimberly Louis ) an expert online trader, i red some reviews about his good works in trading and i decided to give it a try which came out great, with an investment of $500 and a cash out of $6,500 just for seven working days. I recommend her to you out there looking for serious business minded trader..

Out of a lot of items. Ordered chicken fried steak and it was served with no gravy because they ran out of milk. Brookshire Grocery was just down the street, could have sent an employee to grab more items to make dishes correctly. When we were there the Owners had just got back from Vacation and not one of them came over to see how our meal was.tried several times before visit to order to go and no one would answer the phone. Ask why they did not answer and was told that folks would not put their phone on the charger, so their phone was always dead. Heard such good things about this place and not sure if our family will go back.

This place is AWESOME! Staff is super friendly and Shannon (Chef) makes the best Club Sandwich this side of the Mississippi. The desserts ROCK and and the delicious homemade ice-cream is just the "cherry on top"! What are ya waiting for?

A stop on the road trip when we did not want another McDs turned up with good food. We had bacon burgers, patti melt, all home made fries, onion rings and chips. They were pretty good. Wanted to try their dessert but was too full. It is a nice vintage setting. Definitely will stop next time to try other menu items.

This is such a neat place! A must see for anyone wanting a great meal and super unique atmosphere. It still has the old diner set up inside. The staff is beyond nice and helpful. Seriously, they are the sweetest. If I'm ever back in hillsboro, or anywhere close, I will absolutely come again.

Went for breakfast. Food was delicious and so was our waiter(owner?). We almost didn’t stop because the website didn’t say they served breakfast but we are so glad that we did. Great time!

My wife and I decided to pick a semi-local small town and spend the day there; last Saturday we chose Hillsboro, Texas. We had a fun day shopping in the tiny boutiques, meeting a multitude of locals and generally having a great time in the antique shops and farmer's market. For a late lunch, we picked Quackers because of the whimsical painted windows and the fact that it advertised handmade sodas and ice cream. We placed an order for a grilled chicken dish and a country fried steak. An hour or so later, the food arrived and looked decent enough. My CFS was a bit over cooked in the fryer but not terribly over done and with the absolutely amazing gravy, it was better than average. The baked potatoes were spectacularly filled with cheese and butter, much to our delight. My wife said her chicken was good right up until she got to the thickest part and realized it was not fully cooked. At this point I flagged down our server, a wonderfully sweet young lady and she apologized and took it back to the kitchen. She came out a few minutes later looking a little worried and stated the cook said it was fine and it was cooked, it just wasn't well done. I was flabbergasted, it was obviously still raw on the inside. I explained that I was a former sous chef and kitchen manager, having spent a large about of time in the industry at one point and while I no longer practice the craft professionally, I can still absolutely identify uncooked food. I did, in fact, post a photograph here for everyone to see.She apologized and tried to give me the meal for free but I insisted on paying for the tea, handmade soda, and my meal. She discounted it, though I was not worried about cost. I am more concerned by the fact that she informed us the cook was unyielding in their judgment of how they made a mistake but refused to admit it. I completely understand that sometimes things happen, though we were only one of three tables in the restaurant, the others being a two top and three top. All of this negativity could have been avoided simply by admitting they failed to finish cooking it.I asked to be contacted by the manager or owner and here we are five days later with no contact. I left my name, number, and email address. So either the information was discarded or they had no interest in hearing from me. So, here I am to show you what to expect when you dine at Quackers. Good luck and beware of salmonella.

Had a really good Philly Cheesesteak with onion rings and banana pudding. It was all very tasty!
