We have been to Forno's a few times, and we have never been disappointed. We have loved everything that we have eaten there, from seafood to pasta. The staff is very friendly, but so is my family, which always induces others to respond in a like manner. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for a great vacation area! Will return every time we are in the area!

Don’t even try to come here after 7. They will not be open. Their hours are wrong. Don’t waste a 20 min drive.

The food was way way overpriced and was no better than a prepackaged meal from HEB. $75 dollars for 2 plates of food, and the service was horrible. On top of it all the live music was classical orchestra, nothing against the music itself but if you are going to play music, it should be something fitting for the environment at your location. Terrible pricing, terrible food for the price, terrible service and absolutely horrid choice of music. We will not go back.

Before I blast the them, I want to point out the fantastic waitstaff (reason for 2 stars instead of 1) The food was atrocious. Typical overpriced, low quality lake food.

Just great atmosphere and waitress had such a good attitude and you can feed the fish and turtles.

Fried clams, Cesar salad, chicken piccata, cheesecake...all wonderful! Great service, not crowded...a gem of a restaurant in Cottonwood Shores!

We boated 45 minutes from Kingsland two days in a row to try this restaurant out. Both days walked in the door and greeted by a woman who literally barked at us. Her “can I help you” was in the tone of ‘what do you want’. It literally startled our group. First day we arrived after closing time. Okay I understand. Came during business hours the next day and got the same rude, bark of a greeting. Oh well. We went elsewhere to spend $. Clearly Forno’s did not need or want it. Sad because it could be a great lakeside stop.

Her “can I help you” was in the tone of ‘what do you want’. It literally startled our group. First day we arrived after closing time. Okay I understand. Maybe she was tired and ready to go. Came during business hours the next day around noon and got the same rude, bark of a greeting. Oh well. We went elsewhere to spend $. Clearly Forno’s did not need or want it. Gone twice in last month by boat. Service by host and waitstaff excellent and attentive. Drinks were cold and good. Food served in about 20-25 minutes (reasonable time). Food is good, fresh and correct temperature. Family had wings, fried green beans, salads, pasta and burgers. Will be regular stop on Lake LBJ.

Nice alternative in the HSB area. The Italian food was good. The hamburgers were excellent. Love the fresh baked bread. Service was very attentive and friendly

The food was good but the margaritas and service were excellent! We were a little disappointed by the smaller lunch menu though. I ordered a seafood salad and my husband ordered the catfish, fries, and coleslaw. I loved the resteraunt's location.

I want this place to succeed, I really really do, but with their current (I'm assuming) manager I don't see that happening. It's one thing to be short-staffed, but something completely different to only focus on one table at a time and be rude to other patrons. As of writing (on May 7th 2022) we've ordered the same beers twice and are going on ~30 minutes having not received them. I approached the bar, offering to order there and take them to the table, only to be told "I'll have to ask my manager" (update: we were later told "that girl isn't here anymore". Did she get fired? Overwhelmed? The world may never know.) (Second update: new waitress has started and she's a gem. I want her to stay forever. It's a great spot to dock your boat and get some land under your lake legs, but pack your patience and then some, because you will 1000% need it.

This Italian-themed restaurant is at the LBJ Marina on Lake LBJ. The deck was shady and comfortable. There were ducks and catfish swimming in the water right in front of the railing. The server was great; the caprese appetizer was really good, as we're the burger/fries and shrimp. It was very laid back and not at all stuffy atmosphere-wise. We would gladly go back there to eat again.
