Fast attentive welcoming host..
Greeted quickly by waitress .
Ordered fried mushrooms as an appetizer. Wow, quick out the kitchen and fresh and freshly coated you can immediately tell that this is not frozen mushrooms from “frozen company”. This is fresh home coated fried mushrooms excellent !.
Salad was really fresh and crisp, larger portion than anticipated for a side, and presented really nice.
I had the Salisbury steak. Immediately I could see and tell that that ground beef was not a frozen patty or (????). This was fresh ground beef, hand made per order and cooked absolutely perfect. The gravy reminded me of my mom’s dark brown gravy over mashed potatoes. This meal was very filling and a really satisfying dish.
My husband had the shrimp po boy dinner. Is was a satisfying enjoyable dish.
We ordered the boudin balls. Ok, I’m cajun and at 68 I’ve eaten a whole lotta boudin balls. This one is the top pick. Geeeez, the breading was very lightly coated around the best boudin I’ve eaten in years. The meat to rice ratio and trinity was spot on. I would suggest this item to everyone.
Ordered a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo to taste as I have several trophy’s for my gumbo.
Tim, you got my friend. I really enjoyed Tim’s gumbo. Every cajun has their own gumbo and their gumbo is the best. Although I might have more trophy’s than they do, this is a great gumbo. I would like to have had a little more rice in the gumbo however. But dang dat was good.
Relaxing atmosphere with cajun music playing. Not loud, just enough volume to enjoy.
I am full blooded Cajun born and raised.
This place right here is the real deal. It’s not just Pinots and fried g hi s or fried that, this place is for real. Rice and gravy?????? You’ll find it right here.
So this was my first visit upon recommendation of a friend. I’m happy I followed up.

The food was awesome. The shrimp-fried and grilled were both amazing. The crawfish sauce was amazing. Christina was very personable and a pleasure to have as a server.

WOW!! This place is REALLY good!! We started with fried pickles, which were so good. They are seasoned, thicker than most, so you can taste the pickle and the batter. Then my husband had fried catfish, cajun fries, and fried okra. I got the grilled catfish with cajun fries and fried okra.. ALL of it was seasoned extremely well. Prices are good. I think for $12.99, you get a great deal... a huge piece of fish, choice of two sides, and toast. We also got a side of etouffe that was really flavorful. The staff and service was really good as well. We sure hope this place stays around! We will definitely be back! Please go Support our Local restaurants!!

We tried the Huffman Cajun House on a recommendation from my aunt and uncle. We were very pleased. Rebecca was our server. She was courteous, attentive and kept our drinks full. We both ordered the fish. Me, grilled and my husband chose the blackened. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We chose the etoufee, field peas and Cajun fries as our sides. Even the toast was perfect. Prices were very reasonable. The decor was pleasant and the music good! We will be back!

"Visiting from Houston had to stop because I love Cajun food, and this place exceeded my expectations! I expected the usual seafood boil, but it turned out to be authentic Cajun cuisine. I absolutely loved it! The customer service was fantastic—I felt welcomed the moment I walked in."

Stop in to have dinner on the 09-25-24 at around 1645 -1700 hrs. I order a bowl of your seafood gumbo. The waitress was very pleasant and punctual with drinks and service. She delivered my gumbo it was hot, that’s about as good as it gets. There was no flavor very little seafood and very runny was not a thick rouge all around nasty. For 13.00$ a bowl of liquid with no taste very little seafood. I will not be back in your restaurant nor give any recommendations to anyone to eat there.

Huffman Cajun House sounded like a fantastic choice amongst the community patrons! We read that they are known for their authentic Cajun cuisine, including their delicious perfectly seasoned grilled shrimp and crispy fried okra, so I decided to go for the Shrimp Dinner which includes 6 or 12 shrimps ? with 2 sides (fried okra and their delish etoufee'). This option did not disappoint. The grilled shrimp was juicy (not too hard or dried out like Saltgrass Steakhouse, although one of my favorite restuarants to visit), The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a meal with family or friends.
Hubby had the Cajun Breakfast Bowl, which he said he would get again. I just wish his bowl was a bit larger compared to his breakfast skillet from Huffman Cafe... but hey, he loved it, so whatever floats his boat. This was our first visit and look forward to visiting again to try other menu options. BTW, our waitress was amazing. Although we arrived at their busiest lunch time....she made sure we were accommodated and there were no dead times. I didn't get her name.

Authentic Cajun cuisine! Highly recommend. The fried shrimp and catfish was absolutely divine. I will return soon.
The wife and I went there for the first time today. I had the Cajun breakfast bowl and it was excellent. Service was very good as well. We'll be back.

Wonderful authentic Cajun food! The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and the servings were quite substantial all at fair prices. I had fried catfish and fried okra. Fried to perfection. My husband had gumbo. It was spicy but really tasty. I love to see a local owned restaurant do such a great job. There aren't many authentic Cajun places close by. The Huffman Cajun House is definitely a keeper. Worth the drive.
