Stopped by today starving. Had my fingers crossed that it was gonna be good. To my surprise it wasn’t just good. It was freaking AMAZING!!!!! Got a cheeseburger basket and it was perfect. Fries was better than I have had in a long time dining out. I will definitely be back for another burger soon. Hospitality was amazing as well.

We love the food here it is sooooo good! Everything is so good, we usually get the smothered pork chops.. The gravy is the best..I love when the gravy is a little thicker n sets on top of the rice, the beans and rice, cabbage, and collards are excellent too. The last fried chicken we got didn't have any seasoning on it maybe next time it will. I also want to try the fried ribs.

???? ?????'? ???? ???? with ????? ??????! OH MY GOD HIS FOOD IS OUT OF THIS WORLD! {11/10} HE EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS BY FAR!!! Whenever we went for a tasting we were not expecting the quality of the food to be so high! On our first bite we were both "WOWED" by the different flavors we experienced! Better than ya mommas cooking .. JUST WOW!!! ? ? This man has the hands of an angel! ? We loved his cooking so much that we couldn't pick between the three different entrees he presented to us. We ended up asking for half and half of 2 different entrees! (I forgot to have my contract updated so he ended up bringing only one of the entrees, but thats my fault) THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE COMPLAINT ON OUR END THOUGH! On our wedding day he had the most contagious smile ☺️ he treated us like a king and queen the entire time he was there. Constantly catered to us, cut our cake for us, served the food, ETC. He was such a delight to have on our day. Save yourself the trouble and schedule a tasting with this man!! You will NOT regret!! My guests were so happy with his food that there was NOTHING left! ?

Phat Daddy’s Way is truly and literally a hidden gem in Huffman Texas in the Lake Houston area. Phat Daddy’s is a soul food restaurant that also caters located inside the convenience store of a Gulf service station next to the slot machines. A location that is easily missed but worth the trip. Although they have a tiny kitchen and a single worker the food they produce is excellent. They have typical soul food menu items such as oxtails, pork chops, baked chicken, fried fish, fried shrimp and hot wings. They also have a decent assortment of vegetables including cabbage yams, green beans and mac & cheese. Now they don’t have all menu items every day but most soul food restaurants don’t either. Phat Daddy’s also says that their hamburgers are a fan favorite. I did notice that they were huge and looks delicious but I did not try it personally. I did try something called a fried Cajun rib which was surprisingly delicious. As it is with most soul food restaurants, the portions are gigantic and the prices are reasonable. I would’ve given them five stars instead of four but the presence of cayenne pepper in all the meats and vegetables might be too noticeable for people with delicate palate. Those folks who think black pepper is a little too spicy may not be able to enjoy this food fully. But for the rest of us that like a little burn at the end is OK for me.

It’s been a while, but I had some time after church to make the drive before work today. And, oh was it worth it!! Absolutely nothing has changed. B is still the King of the Kitchen!!! The food was hot, cooked just right and he doesn’t skimp on the portions either. I spent almost an hour sitting in my office stuffing my face with oxtails, red beans/rice and cabbage before work. I’ll definitely be back for the smothered pork chops and mac/cheese! See you guys again very soon…

To start off we were recommended Phat Daddy's catering for our wedding by the owner of the wedding venue we booked. We scheduled our taste test for chicken alfredo, lasagna, garlic bread and they also made us green beans to try. When I tell you the food was amazing we booked them that same day! We told them we wanted gold trim plates to be included in the package and we would provide silverware and cups. They told us how they also would add complimentary cake cutting because they do that for their couples. Also if we recommend them they would give us $100 cashapp or deduct from our total price. So in November I reached out to Christina to let her know I'd be recommending them to my boss she replied and said we would get $50 off if my boss booked. When we first booked they told us $100 but whatever I didn't make a big deal it was still money off. Dec 1st when my boss booked, Christina texted me saying they would discount $25 off. I told Christina what she texted me in a previous mssg about the $50, she told me they typically give $25 for referral. My husband also had to get in contact with Christina to let her know what they previously told us. I was glad to accept any money off but I don't understand why they kept changing it up. It definitely was a nightmare using them for our one and only wedding night. Weeks before the wedding my husband was in contact with Christina about the head count because she forgot to put 50 guests on our contract and she texted him saying it was for 30 to 40 ppl. I immediately called her to let her know we said 50 ppl, she then told us she thought she was speaking to another client and got confused? At this moment I had a gut feeling something was about to go wrong. We spoke with her to get everything clarified and it was fine. The day before our wedding we had our rehearsal and the owner of the venue told us that the catering confused our day and had made the food that day at 4pm. She joked about it and said it's fine it happens. Come the day of the wedding, the food was a joke, the food tasted nothing like the taste test we had. Food was extremely bland and cold. I immediately thought I hope they didn't use the same food they made from the day before. I just dont understand how the food didn't compare tp the first time we tried them. The garlic toast had cheese on it the first time we had it and on the wedding day it was regular soggy toast. I also noticed the food had been served on clear plates which we asked for gold trimmed plates, which states on the contract. Cake cutting time came and the coordinator told us the catering had to leave so I would have to get a family member to cut and pass out cake. What a mess. How embarrassing, We had obviously been bragging about the food we would have on the wedding day to all of our friends and family.

Phat Daddy's is a small little place inside of a ⛽gas station, but the owners were very friendly and welcomed you ? in with a smile. The food portions were huge and delicious. ?. I would recommend this place for a good ole fashion soul food experience.

I had posted in a bride group for my wedding looking for a caterer, and multiple comments were all PhatDaddys! so without question I went ahead and put my deposit down, and my fiancé and I went to have a taste test. Baron had put 3 full boxes of the three choices we couldn't choose from. We took only one bite and IT WAS THE BEST FOOD we have EVER tasted in our lives. over our own cooking, over any restaurant we have ever been to. We seriously had the most difficult time choosing only one so we went half and half with 2 choices.I would HIGHLY recommend ? the best decision we have ever made, and definitely will be back for more than just the wedding. THE SALISBURY STEAKS, CAJUN PASTA, AND BAKED CHICKEN ARE TO DIE FOR!!
