Wow I saw the other reviews scores. And the dozen times I have been in there it's been nothing but 5 stars. The problem is it's not some fancy yuppy bar. It's a place you wipe your feet when you leave, and you know what, it's a great feeling. It's old, rustic, low ceilings, and dark. When I say old, it's rustic old. Sure it smells like smoke and I help with that smoking my cigar Everytime I go. The girls working the bar are great. I say girls but let me correct that, they range in age from 30's to mid 60's and all have their own personality very fitting with the place. People are friendly they will chat with you if you like it or not. Ohh come in the back door, the front door is for the tourist. Ok that last part I made up, but really everyone uses the back door.

Great place to hangout and have drinks, shoot pool and play dice! It is the oldest Saloon in the Corpus Christi area, and was established I think in the early 1940’s.

Nice little place to stop and have a beer...Lots of antiques.... I saw some really old local beer cans that were very cool.Vintage taxidermy, they had a Wolverine with snarling teeth.Several deer mounts and a Moose.Several Budweiser Clydesdale pool table lamps in good condition.The old style bar chairs reminded me of 1930 art deco.You can tell the Buckhorn Saloon has been around for sometime. It reminded me of an old dance hall on one side and bar on the other.The walls are wood finish with that deep dark color from many years of use.You should stop by and check this oldie before it's gone!

Friendly neighborhood bar. Karaoke wasn't too loud at the bar. You could hear it, but still carry on a conversation with your next stool neighbor. Ice cold beer.

I have to start with they allow smoking indoors. That alone is why I rated this bar 3 stars.The bartenders here are great however and generally the other patrons here are friendly for the most part and it has two pool tables and they have karaoke on some nights if you're into that.

The music was very loud. It was werid that people could smoke in the bar. Drinks were decent price. Interesting but didn’t love the place.
Bartender only gave people sitting at bar service. When you have to sit at table wait for hour to get a beer then decide to go to bar to get service that's unacceptable

I gave this place 5 stars last year when visiting in the area and I give it 5 stars today. I like this lil bar and there are two bartenders that are really nice here when my husband and I stop in to play pool and have a drink. I don't always have an alcoholic beverage and they'll make sure I get a water or soda while I'm playing pool. There are two pool tables darts a punching bag machine the sand hockey like table and there's karaoke on the weekends. Nice atmosphere.
