Jalapeño’s Mexican Bar & Grill

I love the food and I go to eat here often because it is close to my home. However, when I order food in the drive thru or in the restaurant they bring you food you did not order then charge you more. Last time I went in they charged me double what I ordered I decided I am being scammed and I feel like a sucker every time I eat there. :(

Kid-friendliness: I did complain about being charged $30 for four tacos and 2 coffees but they dismissed my complaint, so I just paid and left. It was especially hurtful because I brought a friend here who insisted on buying me breakfast then we were taken advantage of like I have been pretty regularly when I go there. I felt like I set them us for a scam by recommending the place. Nothing but regrets.

Have wrong prices online wrong prices on drive-through. The person in the drive-through told me that they just changed the prices this week, but in fact, other people have reported that prices are wrong like 5 months ago lol u can see for yourself on the reviews , be careful I get the feeling they’re not being honest with their customers they up charge the prices when you pay they could at least have a sign or something, letting people know just my opinion in my experience

Some of the plates are not made the way they supposed to be. I ordered garlic shrimp and my plate had more onions tomatoes and bell peppers than shrimp.

Stopped by while in town. Ordered the San Antonio plate and a queso appetizer. Could hardly eat both as they took jalapeños literally with everything. I was thinking it wasn't going to be too bad but ended up swinging by Whaterburger in the end. Ordered a mango margerita and could hardly drink that as it was literally just mango necter. ☠️. My husband tasted it and couldn't even tatse any liquor. This place has the potential to be better in that area. I'm not sure if we will try it again when visiting. We will probably drive to Rockport and go to Arandas.

The food was ok, definitely not the greatest I have had. Looked great. I asked the waitress what beers they had and she started to list coke products. Had to go to the bar myself and see what they had. My wife got a mango margarita and it more or less was mango juice with ice. Couldn't taste the tequila at all. This place needs some improvement.

My first time going there and the staff was great and so was the food. It was a pick up order so can't say anything about the dine in experience.

Terrible service and they can’t even speak English. Horrible!

We like their food is great and the waitress was very nice to us. Will go back in there again.

Parking: Parking is close around the restaurant, easier to walk close to the door of the restaurant and it has handicapped ramp there, very convenient for customers.

Kid-friendliness: Kids with families are great and they enjoy being there for their food.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp for handicapped to get closer to the door, but don't have automatic door openers. You have to open the doors for them.

I don't know what's happened to what was my favorite Mexican food but the enchilada plate we recently got was almost inedible. My taco shell was burned & the enchiladas were mushy & surrounded by a lake of grease. The refried beans were very dry & if it weren't that this was a take out order I would of sent it back. I heard they were under new management, I don't know if this is true or not. It's sad as i now will have to find another Mexican food restaurant cause I'll never eat there again.

Best Mexican food around. Great service.
