Stopped by while driving through Texas and so glad we found this gem! The owners are so down to earth and sweet. They had already ran out of desserts when we arrived for a late lunch, so we missed out there. What they did have left was the best sausage I’ve had, and delicious brisket. Their sweet tea was the perfect amount of sweetness, so I imagine their desserts would have been too. If we’re in the area again, I will definitely need to get there earlier! ?
Excellent Excellent Excellent - had ribs; potatoe salad; beans - bar none, the best in Texas! Would recommend the drive from I10 to little town of Iraan - it's worth the time. We will be back!

Amazing experience. We took a detour to try out Salt Creek and it was well worth it. It was rib day and that was excellent but we had to try the grilled cheese and brisket (with jalapenos and onions) based on the local's recommendation... delicious. Both came with sides and blueberry cobbler... All home made!!! The chefs, Mike and Charlie, spent some time talking with us while our dog enjoyed checking out the backyard and covered deck dining area. I couldn't ask for a better...read full review
