Couldn't ask for a better lunch stop and it's just a short mile off the interstate between Fort Worth and Waco. We are so happy to have discovered this gem of a deli / market / country store! Not only were the sandwiches fresh, stacked, and delicious, but service was friendly and quick too! There's plenty to browse as well - everything food-related you've come to expect at a farmer's market all under one roof - artisan breads, baked goods, jams, nuts,...
This place was beautiful! You walk in and get a paper with a clipboard and choose what type of sandwich, sub, or wrap you want. They make all their own bread and sell loaves also. I got jalapeños and cheese bread with bacon. It was outstanding. I got a BLT and they cook the bacon to be a little crumbly which is perfect. We drive down to shop the baked goods and get a sandwich. Love the sourdough whole wheat bread. It makes the best toast, great for BLT sandwiches and fried egg sandwiches. I am hoplessly addicted to their chocolate whoopie pies. Their fried pies are also excellent! We take sugar-free pies to my dad in San Antonio on occasion. He loves them.
They have some of the best sandwiches out there. The folks that work there are always polite. It's always worth the stop.
