We have been to Jacksboro several times and have wanted to stop in at the green frog because it looks like a great diner. We got the chance last week stopped in and it did not disappoint. The chicken fried steak is the size of a plate and the buffet was fried catfish with all the fixings Not only looked great but tasted great as well. They have big as your hand yeast rolls and you can even order a delicious strawberry salad for the lighter side. All in all when passing through...
I was happy to see the Green Frog become the Green Frog again and with Dairyland closing, this icon should see even more business. I used to eat here as a kid and I ate there again recently. It's still the incredible home cooking place I remember. I had the catfish, with the large and varied salad bar. My colleagues had the chicken fried steak and chicken friend chicken, both smothered in gravy. We all left full and happy. Can't wait to get back there again.
