I miss this place. The people and the food were always second to none. I'm very happy to see that it's still in business. I hauled barite to the Halliburton yard that was next door years ago. Me and another driver delivered there 2 or 3 times a week and ate here every time we delivered. We'd be starving by the time we got to Dallas but we would tough it out and wait until we got to Jacksboro so we could eat some good food. I know I'll pass through there again at some point and I will definitely be stopping by for some of that good country cooking.

The waitress was poorly trained. But the food was awesome. It was a true home cooked meal. Can't wait till I get to go back out that way. I gave the waitress a $5 tip on my card, and I gave the cook a $20 tip cash.

Grew up in Jacksboro and come back occasionally to meet up with friends and family when they’re in town. The cooks are beyond amazing as well as the bussers! My only issue has been with the server Kelly, who served us today. She is as overly aggressive and unprofessional and made us feel like an inconvenience. I myself work in the service industry am absolutely appalled by how she treated us. She rushes you to order and brings the check right after the food but doesn’t come back to check to see if we need refills etc. I asked to order something to go and she aggressively threw the menu to us, came back less than 30 seconds later before we have even opened the menu and visibly rolled her eyes at us when we said we needed more time. And before you ask, no it was not busy. I have also had her as my server atleast 10+ times and it has consistently been horrible. Hope she learns how to treat people better moving forward, I’ll absolutely be returning but I will not be sitting at her tables.

I stopped in along my travel and I’m happy I did. The parking lot had several open spots. Restaurant was clean. Service was excellent! Food was freshly prepared and tasted soooooo good. If you are hungry for breakfast I definitely recommend. Bacon 🥓 was so good. And was happy to see that they offer grits. 😊Thanks 🩷✌️
