My hubby and I visited Commerce Street Drafthouse for the first time this weekend and loved everything about it! Great food selection with healthy options! And amazing service. We highly recommend checking this place out!

My wife and I happened to be in Jacksonville Texas this past weekend. We are from the Dallas area, so we wanted to find someplace to have lunch before our return trip home. This little gem of a restaurant is tucked away near a bridge. I am sure the locals know of the Commerce Street Drafthouse, so we were Pleasantly surprised when we decided to stop by and have lunch there. When we entered the restaurant, we were immediately greeted with a smile and warm welcomes. The tables reminded me of sitting down at home which was a pleasant experience compared to most restaurants. The restaurant was clean and had character. The atmosphere was Laid back and not rushed. Our waitress stopped by and collected our drink orders and actually chatted with us and gave us her full attention and did not rush off as soon as we placed our order. She Promptly returned with our drink quarters and took our appetizer order. Shortly after that our appetizers arrived and they were the most amazing fried cheese Kurds we have ever ate. We were so happy they recommended the spicy ranch dressing on the side. We then placed our main orders. They had some yummy menu choices, and I chose their fish and chips, and my wife chose their chicken fried steak. We had time to enjoy our appetizer before the main course arrived. Our waitress kept our glasses full the entire time. Other staff in the restaurant also stopped by to check on us as we waited for our main course to arrive. It was so nice to be able to enjoy our food and talk and not feel rushed. This is not something you find much these days. Shortly after finishing our appetizer our main course arrived. The Fish and chips were perfect. Not overcooked not lukewarm but piping hot. The fish batter was crispy not mushy, and the fish was so flaky and fresh Tasting. The waitress shared with is that they use Cod for their fish and chips. The French fries were also crispy on the outside soft on the inside. My wife loves a good chicken fried steak, and they did not disappoint. She was so thrilled that she allowed me to have a bite of the most tender perfect chicken fried steak I think I have ever had! Kudos to the chefs in the kitchen! I wish that I would have taken some pictures of our plates of food as they not only tasted amazing, but they also looked amazing! The owners and staff of this restaurant have found the secret sauce! I can say with 100% certainty that if we find our way back to Jacksonville TX, we will be stopping at this restaurant again! I definitely recommend anyone to stop by Commerce Street Drafthouse if you pass through Jacksonville TX, or you live there

Went there to see a friend's band. After an hour of no service I went inside to get water for our table and ask for a waitress. She brought six waters and left without taking our food order. She served other tables but never came back to ours. We eventually left and went to Whataburger. Will not be going back.

This place is surprisingly good. I didn't expect it in Jacksonville. I ordered the fish tacos. They were authentic Baja fish tacos with pickled red onion:5/5 but my buddy ordered the Brisket sandwich, it came with a cold bun and was mediocre brisket at best, it was also their special. The patrons at the bar are very friendly. We were there for lunch, 6 people in the establishment, total but waited 19 minutes for service. If you have a typical 30 lunch, it could be a little tight. The craft beer selection is curated and the top shelf liquor seems to be,as well. A small bit good selection of regional favorites. This looks like a great place to be at night. The prices are dictating the clientele, this isn't a dive bar and I hope they don't cater downwards.

This is our absolute favorite spot in town. Friendliest faces, good food, great selection of craft beers, wines and mixed drinks. All the food is delicious but the hummus plate and house chips are a must every time!

The food was horrible to pay that price. The service was slow stayed 1 hr and half for over cooked food that was horrible. Will never eat there again!

They wanted too much for the quality of food we received. It’s sad to see how bad this place has gotten since I came here last about three years ago.

I went the other night and took forever to get my meal, was waited on by a terrible female server who kept forgetting we were there. After the fact, I got food poisoning from the meal. The whole family was sick for about three days.
