Very rarely I take time to do this- but this place absolutely warrants it. Simply amazing. It’s not just a dinner, a meal- it’s an experience. Having travelled the world, and then finding this place in my own backyard is a treat I won’t take for granted, but will frequent it as often as I can. This experience is a hidden gem in East Texas. Chef brings personality, originality, and confidence to his concept, which is clearly a culmination of his experiences and influences. RJ would be booked out for months in any major city with his culinary talents and presentation, but he's chosen to bring his talents to a place he calls home. The quality of his inspired omakase is unmatched in the region and, quite frankly, outpaces literally every establishment that strives for anything similar this side of LA, and that includes everything Dallas has to offer. Had this been a dry establishment I would still come back time and time again, but on top of the outstanding culinary experience the cocktails were extraordinary. There's no drink list (I don't think), but they can make just about anything, so a top notch cocktail bar is crafted into the experience. To top it off, the venue itself is immaculate. My diet is restrictive, low carbs, low sugar. I ordered the asian salad with grilled chicken and fried wantons on the side. Very good, healthy choices for those watching glucose levels.

Blown away!! Wow, couldn’t believe this was in little ol’ Jacksonville! This is a “Must Try” restaurant. Drinks, food, ambiance: all 5-star. Ask for a tour of their speak-easy.
Also, staff was so cute, friendly, helpful!

An unforgettable omakase experience from start to finish. Every bite was masterfully crafted with the freshest ingredients, each one better than the last. The chef’s deep knowledge and meticulous attention to detail elevated each course. We will definitely be returning. What an incredible restaurant!

I would like to start out by saying that I have experienced omakase at Uchi in Austin and Nakazawa in NYC. My first thought is, Wow! The selection of food we were presented with was awesome. But what set it over the top was the personal experience we had with chief RJ right there with us as he prepared each selection right in front of us. This is a “can’t miss” experience any sushi lover MUST HAVE!!!

The Omakase Experience was top notch. Service for 8 people total with RJ preparing all the meal in front of you. Also Mitchell (I believe was his name) bartender kept drinks full and provided exceptional service. I had never heard of this until my daughter mentioned it and we thoroughly enjoyed.

Short and sweet: the Omakase experience is the single best dining experience I’ve ever had, and I have been to a lot of nice restaurants. I would like to clarify by no means am I trying to brag on random google reviews about the places I’ve eaten, I’m just using that as a reference to explain how good the experience was. First off I realize it is expensive, but the value you get is incredible. The quality, presentation, and explanation were all phenomenal. It’s a whole experience lasting 2-3 hours. If it is within your means or you have something to celebrate I can’t recommend this experience enough.

This was unbelievable. The best sushi I have had in over 20 years. The service was outstanding. 100% recommend. Small portions explained and paired with amazing drinks. Worth every penny.

Best resturant in Jacksonville! Outstanding food prepared expertly. We love that the menu changes all the time. The Saturday dinner is hard to describe and it is available in this small town. This is a must try place in EastTexas.

We did the omakase experience and loved it! They close the restaurant except for the 8 at the chefs table, so you have a very special dinner.

RJ (chef) and Bud (bar keep) were a great duo. Very skilled and great conversationalists.

The fish was incredible. RJ’s flavor combos were spot on. This is not a cheap experience, but we will certainly do it again.

Hidden gem in the almost the middle of no where. Was curious about it after hearing a friend rave about this place. Have yet to try the omakase dinner, but it's on the books. I was able to try their dinner with drinks and it was definitely a hit with my party. Excited to come back again! Wish they were closer to Tyler.

Ima make it easy and simple. We paid 75 bucks for 3 mini aptzs and 2 cocktails. 45 min after leaving we ended up at sonic. Food is good but just not for us.
