Tried calling to see if they were open and a little kid answered the phone and said "I don't know you" then hung up. My mother tried again later and the same kid answered and called her an "ugly little girl" ? made for a good laugh but we never found out if they were open so chose somewhere else to eat.

There was some order confusion, but they made it right with no problems. However, maybe it was because of what I ordered, didn't like this at all. We really wanted a brisket potato, but they were out of potatoes. My daughter and I opted instead for the brisket nachos and a brisket taco. I know it's not a taco truck, but they didn't attempt to cook the corn tortillas and the brisket was cold on the cold tortillas with cold sour cream and a side of cold picante (not pico). Do not order it! Moving on to the nachos, they looked good and it was a healthy serving, but it's not good. I'm not sure what type of cheese sauce they used, but it was terrible, maybe even spoiled. Do not order it!They did provide a sample of the ribs they had and my daughter said they were good. I thought they were ok, but could have been a little fresher. They were at least 2 days old.

This was some of the best bbq we have ever had. It was my 36th wedding anniversary and my choice where to eat so I wanted to give this place a shot and placed an order of the ultimate loaded baked potato, 3 meat plate ,large peach cobbler and a brisket beef sandwich. Everyone knows bbq is expensive no matter where you get it but this place gives huge portions which equals out to the prices, we drove from rusk just to pick the food up and it was well worth the trip. All the food was excellent, the homemade bbq was awesome just wish we had asked for more for the sandwich. This will be our #1 spot to get our bbq,the owner is very generous with his food and he was very pleasant to deal with. Thank you for some delicious bbq local so no more trips to Tyler, new customers Kenny&Twylla Risinger.

Great barbecue

Two stars for portion size. Zero for taste. Had a sliced beef sandwich and peach cobbler. Very tender and thick hearty portion, but no discernible smoke flavor. Tastes like oven roasted brisket. Cobbler had an overpowering nutmeg flavor. Could not taste any peach flavor. The chopped beef sandwich had a bit more taste. The sauce was runny and tasted like an apple cider based vinaigrette.

I believe mr. Smith said that they are only open a couple of days a week. He makes his own meats and makes a very generous chopped beef sandwich for $8. The meat had a good flavor, lightly smoked. He makes his own barbecue sauce which most people enjoy. Personally, I've been on a keto diet for a long while so it was much too sweet for me so I gave my sandwich to my son. When mr. Smith found out why I didn't eat he made another sandwich without sauce and would not accept any cash for it. However he does not have any spicy sauces , hot sauce, onions , jalapenos . All of which I am used to having with barbecue . We packed up and went across the street before leaving town and that purchased a jar of jalapenos at Dollar General, thus giving the sandwich more kick.

Had to get fresh food cooked. Asked for beef & broccoli, took over 15 minutes then there were 3 other customers before us waiting for the same dish! Some outside in their car.
