THIS PLACE IS THE PERFECT LUNCH/DINNER SPOT! We stopped in for their bruschetta and French onion soup.

The atmosphere is very intimate and the restaurant is very CLEAN. The service was quick and the food was extremely FRESH. The bruschetta was the best we have ever had, honestly. Please stop in this local spot and take a break from antiquing to enjoy a nice meal.

Food is so tasty and good. The Crostini with the herb mozzarella was so delicious. The cream of curried peanut soup was very good. The egg salad and skillet potatoes were so good. Reminded me of grandma’s skillet potatoes! Highly suggest you try this place when in Jefferson.

I live 5 hours away and I’m considering driving back to Jefferson just to get another order of French onion soup. It was sooooo good! We also really enjoyed the bruschetta with jalapeño goat cheese, and the egg salad sandwiches. This is a must visit if you want a really good meal in Jefferson.

Cannot really recommend this restaurant...
To start, I ordered the vegetable lasagna. It comes with a salad and "bread course". Not really sure what a bread course is supposed to be but I got a piece of some kind of bread covered in a sickeningly sweet syrupy "sauce" that I poured off. The salad seemed to have been prepared earlier and was a bit soggy. We did not get to choose our dressing only "house" dressing which was okay for a vinegrette.
The lasagna was mostly marinara sauce and some vegetable lasagna and the bread served with the meal was, again, some sort of cross between cornbread and foccocia??? The plate cost $30. Way over priced. Now onto the atmosphere, not relaxing Bistro, anything but! The music was loud and sounded like club music-Pink, Dirty Little Freak. I've been in many bistros and the music is generally pretty mellow and chill but not today. It was not conducive to an enjoyable evening. The service was quite slow, however, the waitress was very nice but very stretched. For the money, I would have expected more.
The remainder of our party ordered the Crostini Entree which was basically the weird bread described earlier (cross between cornbread and foccocia) with mushroom gravy on it! Again a $30 meal of bread and gravy. What the heck! The Guinness Stout in the bottle was worth the $5. I know it gets good reviews most if the time but I cannot recommend it.
