Stopped here on my way home from Galveston. It was around 9 or 9:30. I sat at the bar. I ordered the boneless wings and tater tots. The wings were just okay, but the bartender was very nice. It was slow, so she was kind enough to visit with me. We had a nice conversation about the area and where we are both from.
Haywood House is a home style Texan bar & grill with fantastic food, and friendly faces. The decor brings you right back to a simpler time without all the distractions of modern conveniences, but with an absolutely calming atmosphere. Overall, this was a fantastic spot for our 4th of July evening in Jefferson.
I had the Big Daddy Bourbon BBQ Bacon Burger, and it was perfect. I honestly couldn't have made it better myself, it was sweet, but not too sweet....

This place is amazing, service is superb and the cigar lounge on the third floor is amazing with beautiful leather furniture and a great patio for cigarette smokers. Our server was beyond any expectations. It's a little on the more expensive side but not for what you get. They have a large variety of food for any taste and I promise you will be impressed by the quality. I recommend you go here if your ever in the area.
