McGarity's Restaurant & Saloon Jefferson

This place used to be really really good. Seems now they are trying to cut corners. Serving frozen brussel sprouts with bacon bits is not worth 6.95. They do still have great cocktails. Maybe step your game back up.

We had an early dinner there yesterday. This was our second time eating here, and it was amazing both times. Definitely will eat here again when in Jefferson.

We had a French dip & a Reuben for lunch. The meat on both was outstanding, so tender it melted in our mouths. And seasoned perfectly. The fries were good but my sweet potato ones could have been more crispy. Looking forward to being in the area again just to try some other dishes.

Amazing service and food! Love that they offer a vegan and vegetarian menu! Though I'm not a vegetarian myself, I have family members that are and it can be difficult to find something other than salads at most restaurants. Awesome beer and cocktail selection. Staff is always friendly. Been here several times now, tried something new every time and it's always great! Hope to work my way through the whole menu once day!

For my husband and I very first visit we ordered cheese curds, brisket mac n cheese, brisket au jus sandwich and everything was so delicious! The perfect comfort food <3

We were on our sister's trip and the employee met us at the door and told us we would have to sit at separate tables. There was a table that needed cleaning. But we were turned down at the door at 7:15pm 11/2/24

The salmon with dill sauce is good and the gumbo is great. The prices have gone up because of the economy I am sure, since I was there in March of 2024. I hope they survive because it is a great little place to have lunch when shopping and touring Jefferson.

Was sat given water and watched our waitress wait on another table as we sat for 30 minutes with NO service! Not a damn thing. I suggest going somewhere else.

Edit, We tried them one more time, this time not on a weekend. The food was good, the waitress seemed really tired but doing her best. I would highly recommend hiring more people but a much better experience this time.

During my time there I spent it outside on the porch for the most part. When I did go inside it was packed and very lively. Positive environment with festive decor. I really liked it there.

A little surprised that the burger wasn’t fresh. So-so burger especially for the price

Fantastic food. "J" was a fabulous server, very knowledgeable about the menu ans his recommendations were spot on. Would definitely recommend and will most definitely return in the future.
